BERKING AMAZING!!!!........where's your beard? The dog thingy has way less 'bulk' but equally smooth "moves" not to sure about the ostrich/covid19 bird thing...... thanks
Watching videos from Boston Dynamics for 10 years now, the progress they've made with the quadrupedal dog-bots is seriously impressive, but the bipedal human-bots being able to dance like this is shockingly amazing. It wasn't long ago that they were hobbling around on an umbilical hanging from the ceiling.
Still waiting for Boston Dynamics to enter one of their doggies in the World Frisbee Dog Championships.

And would like to remind them that as a trusted member of the forum, I can be useful for rounding up other members to toil in their underground silicon mines.

My money would be on the Broader collie, no replacement for the pure joy of chasing something.
And I am very impressed with the range of motion and agility of the bipeds.

I'm more than impressed. They move much better than I do... even after some lubrication by way of a whiskey glass.
0/10. I expect robots to do the robot- not drunk white guy dance.
Seriously though- that's frightening. The movement is incredibly fluid. Technology these days .....

Here is the CGI Science Fiction version by Neill Blomkamp in 2003. The Boston Dynamics promotional films are of the real thing 17 years later. Science Fiction again becomes Science Fact.

I'm not trying to argue (really, just trying to calm the future nightmares), but the video says Bosstown Dynamics at the bottom, not Boston. That video has an aggressive tone I find surprising from a tech company. I am not claiming its not real, just shocked by dudes playing with live rounds and robots. Plus the last scene where the humanoid grabs the "dog" and runs off, just seems awfully Hollywoodized to me.
