Anyone who can look at a car and then design and fabricate a replica of it has my respect. OTOH, I still feel like he should have tried to make it a little less boxy and more sporty.

Fancy a ride in my Lambor-teeny? Chinese lorry driver spends a year building his 80mph dream machine Owning a Lamborghini supercar is the stuff of dreams for most young men, wherever they live. And if you happen to be a twentysomething lorry driver from rural China, that dream would seem all the more unattainable. But that fact only served to spur on 25-year-old Chen Jinmiao. Realising he would never earn enough money to buy the real thing, Chen decided to build his own. A year and the equivalent of £2,000 building later, he had his very own 'Lamborghini'. And Chen is more than happy with his replica of the famous Italian sports marque - even if its 60 mph top speed is some 150mph behind the real thing. Chen, of Binzhou in Hunan province, said: 'I downloaded the drawings from the internet, then bought the materials from the market.' His bright yellow car even has the original's signature scissor doors. But Chen, who has no formal engineering training, has yet to hear whether he will be allowed to drive his 'baby Lambo' on public roads.

Still cool, my home built Lambo goes 0-mph because I didn't build one. This dude wins.

I actually quite like that.

Simple design, fairly pleasing lines (if a bit straight), almost enough speed for driving on I-285, standard replacement parts.

What's not to like? For a guy who knows little about fabricating cars, it's a laudible build.

I am glad to see Hot Rodding in China. it MAY just bring our two culture a little closer together when the eVil overlords repossess the US.

Well he did build his own car from scratch in a year and on a very tight budget, even if it is slow and kinda homely.

And hey, in the land of motor scooters the man with the imitation Lambo is a stone cold pimp
