All fruits or just fresh? Dehydrated fruits are snackable.
I just went straight for boxes of ice cream Snickers or Twix and called it a day.

Another idea is to sprinkle chia seeds on your meal previous to when you are usually hungry for a snack. I find them tasteless and they pack a lot of fiber in even a teaspoon. Will keep you full longer.
This^^^^^^^Nuts. Chips are high glycemic which is bad for triglycerides which aren't heart friendly plus raise your A1C.
@OP. How old are you? As we get older the feeling of hunger and thirst get blurred. I am in the need to loose some weight category as well. Reasurch and discussions with my doctor about it and I realized I was not drinking enough water. I would feel hungery when it was really my body saying I was thirsty. If you feel the urge of wanting to snack grab a 16 ounce bottle of water and put down. A second if you are ok with it. Weight 20 minutes and if you are still hungry then snack. But I found that most of the time (like 99 percent of the time) the hunger would go away. One thing to keep in mind is don't use water as a substitute for food. Keep track of what you eat during the day. Make sure you are getting three squares of good for you food.
When I snack I like protein. Dried or smoked beef is something I like. Nuts are good if you an eat them. I want to give my body something that it will take some time to digest. Fruit or other high water content things are not much better than just drinking water and as noted above water may actually be what your body is wanting.
I'm not a dietitian, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
I'm told by several people more intelligent than I that it's the combination of fats and carbs that is the real bad mojo. Like, donuts are the devil. Deep fried carbs with more carbs. Things like potato chips are a similar vibe.
But salt with fats (obviously in the proper doses) I don't think will be as much of an issue. Omega 3s, fish, nuts, etc are probably the best bets.
