I had no idea at the time that Ezra Dyer was an auto-journalist, I just thought he really wanted to document his first rallycross experience. He's a pretty nice guy and a true enthusiast, and is a bit more off-color when he isn't on camera. I found out after I was on camera it would be on the internet. Oh, well.

Apparently he was supposed to bring a brand new AWD Porsche (911, I think) but the cars were switched at the last minute due to concerns about putting it into a wall.

For the record, the Subaru's best time was faster than the Evoque's best time.

Ezra is a great writer. His column was 80% of why I would pick up a copy of Automobile magazine, they dropped him so there's that now...
