I spent half of mine trying to retrieve my WIFI password. I remember I changed the default password to something else, and even wrote it down! Trouble is that little piece of paper has disappeared! I thought "Oh, I can just turn on the computer, open up the Linksys Program, go to 'My Network' and retrieve it!" Nope. Program won't open properly. Go on the interwebs, Google the problem, other's had the same issue. Resolution? Uninstall and re-install. Okay. Uninstall complete. Reinstall? Oh, Windows needs to update 5,809,134 items. Estimated time "0 minutes if connected to the internet". Actual time taken? Who knows. I gave up after sitting for 2 hours and checking every hour after. All of this to retrieve a friggin password!!

I saw that. You forgot to hotlink it.

I watched two movies and collected information for today's show. Sounds a little more exciting than your day.

I leveled my lathe, centered the tail stock, installed a "new to me" quick change tool post (involved turning a threaded post to fit my T nut and match the new turret ID).

Then I got started on the whole point of the exercise... turning some e36 aluminum rear subframe bushings betwixt the centers all on one piece of material then slicing them apart.

What I save on this one job alone pays for the material, turret, holders and a sexy new tap/die wrench. Unless I value my time. Which, I obviously do not.

Discovered a crummy keyway on the 1.6 Miata engine I bought, so we did a redneck fix and called it good.

Then the wife took me for Mexican food at our favorite downtown place. Sunny, 70, and drinking Negra Modelo on the rooftop patio with Mole Enchiliadas took some of the sting out of the engine.

My Sunday consisted of trying to find someone with rear lower control arms for a Civic in stock not finding any having to order some. Then finding out one of the rear strut mounts that I had got was actually a front in the wrong package and no one having that in stock so the Civic is still sitting in the garage with only the front suspension assembled and the Sciricco has decided it wanted to start running like E36 M3 and smoking like crazy.

I had a pretty good day digging up roots from around the birch tree I cut down earlier this year. It will be easier cutting grass now.

I spent the afternoon fighting with the heater control unit on my CRX. Every time I fixed something, something else would break. While southern cars are great for not having rust, I wonder what the heat does to plastic parts, because everything plastic on this car is breaking.

Uh, you know you can change the wifi password right? Even reset all the router's settings if you have to. It's not the end of the world.

On Sunday I did an offroad TSD rally. The highlight was getting into an accident with a concrete block inexplicably sitting on the edge of a dark jungle trail in the middle of nowhere. It was bigger than your average microwave oven. I'm just driving along and then BANG and the steering wheel is ripped out of my hands as the sammy veers right, then another bang as the rear wheel hits it. I think it was just a glancing blow as a proper hit would have really berkeleyed things up. Surprisingly I didn't damage anything but you can bet I gave the steering a good test as I moved off.

I went to the swap meet. I got a Schwinn Stingray, another Honda Kick 'n Go, and a bronze Scotty dog (running family joke) and I didn't even have to tap into the Benjamins.

I was sick, had the worst kink in my neck that I've ever had. Had to take my 6yo out shopping for his mothers birthday gifts. Then she wanted to go to olive garden for her birthday which I couldn't taste because I'm sick.

Bailed out the wife's daughter. She was stopped at about 3:00AM, blew a 0.14, spent the rest of the night and day in jail. She was driving her brother's car, which of course was impounded. We posted her bail money. Not a very good Sunday.
