Funny thing, since you told me where you live, I actually know where your house is just by looking by the photos. I’m up there all the time, so I will hit you up the next time I’m there.

I’ll ask my wife if she knows yours.

What?  Do you know how hard it was to thread that needle?  Can’t I get a little credit for that at least?

Thread title changes to: "Someone just drove through my yard...and now we're having a house-party!"

I'd park on the grass!

Or, if I was in the area, like others, I wouldn't stop in to say hi but I would put a couple of tracks in the lawn each time I went by.  Ha.

I knew a guy in college who used to take a Wrangler on occasional sideways trips through the turf in front of the BIG homes in the Paces Ferry area of Atlanta when we were on the way home from bars in Buckhead. There is no terror like sitting in the back seat of a jeep with a sloped roll bar as it careens sideways down a golf-course-like hill in front of a multi-million dollar home.

My buddy had a lifted K5 Blazer with tall mud tires and he took corners really fast and sitting in the raised back seat many times I hung on expecting him to roll that thing.

If you have a fire hydrant in front of your house, build a snowman around it.

Hilarity will ensue.

Was today this winter's first day of snowy roads?  Tomorrow, we expect our first snow/ice for the year.  I'm just 4 hours due East of you but generally we get your same weather, just a day later.  I hate the first snow of the year.  Its amazing that everyone seems to forget how to properly drive in snow.  That first day scares me as I expect that some "mouth breather" is gonna hit me that day!

I offer to personally drive through your yard every time I come down to Flossmore, and you never say yes.

First day of seriously snowy roads, yes. I didn't take pictures because literally I could just re-post the first one in this thread. Exact same tire paths.

I do now have a baby spruce tree (18 inches tall) that the culprit went right over. Tree was fine, but the tomato cage I had around it was flattened.

At this point, I think I should get a camera. For science.

To give everyone an idea of how slick it was about 30 miles north of Robbie, I parked on the street, pulled the handbrake, and then dumped the clutch completely forgetting to either turn the car off or take it out of gear. Despite me dumping the clutch in 2nd and the handbrake on, the car did not die; instead, it did a kind of crab walk out into the middle of the thankfully deserted street.

Can I bring my 986 up there and play?

Of course! (And if you did I'd be really hard pressed to let it go back home with you...)

One time a few years ago (before I had snow tires on the xjr) my wife was hoping to drive it to work and I was clearing the driveway. For whatever reason I had to move the car forward, so I put it in drive and rolled toward the garage. There was a little 1 inch lip to get up from the driveway to the concrete garage space, and I somehow stopped rolling forward with the front wheels resting on the lip.

Then I did the same thing, forgot to put it in park. And I got out of the car to see both back wheels slowly spinning forward at idle speed while the car was still.

We decided not to drive the jag that day!
