I love how the dynamics and speed of it so closely mimic the real one. Awesome.

That thing must be stupid light. Air doesn't scale.

Somebody is a better RC pilot than I ever was. Might be the camera, but it looked like it should have hit the was a dozen times.

Very Cool.

.628 pounds, so yeah, it's light.

I almost wonder if it isn't helium filled.

Heck of a pilot! I don't know how he missed the columns and walls with the dark lighting.

I think it is helium-filled, if I read the comments section correctly.

I swear it looks to me like the fuselage was inflateable; there's what look like seams with wrinkles like a pool toy just ahead of the stabilizer and on the bottom. 285 grams is ~.63 pound; wonder what kind of motors he has in those ducted fans and also what kind of battery?

Very impressive feat of engineering and flight.

I think it might be filled with helium. Look closely at the seams of the fuselage top and bottom along the long axis - looks like it was heat-sealed. Even if it's not a lighter-than-air fuselage, it's super thin material; only nose, wings, and tail assembly appear fully rigid.

EDIT: Curmudgeon beat me to it.

I don't pay much attention to the RC hobby, so that was absolutely incredible to me, almost mesmerizing to watch! And I didn't know they flew them indoors with helium-assist. It's a fantastic model and an excellent display of control. Thrust must be from a couple of the nine servos powering tiny fans. There must be some amount of aerodynamics involved. With the helium, if it hit the wall, I wonder if it would have just bounced off and kept on flying. I just don't know enough about these things, but it's fascinating. Now I have to watch it again!

I doubt it would bounce off. It still has aerodynamics to fly as it is not lighter than air. Also, while the Helium no doubt it lighter, it does not cut down on the absolute mass of the plane itself.. so if hits heavier than it really is

Pretty cool, but you can tell it's light as a fart, it flies very slowly and with just a little power. It looks like it's actually very easy to fly.
