I have been super happy with my Pixel 4a for two years now. I don't do a lot of comparisons, but I like it better than my wife's iphone [something] and it was half the price. It's fast and takes amazing pictures.

Why do cell phone companies keep removing E36 M3? It seems like none of them have SD cards slots anymore (after already losing the headphone port).

Some of it is the desire to be more "water proof" dictates no open ports. But, I agree, it seems mostly seems like just messing with a good thing.
Honestly I don't miss the SD slot because it wasn't that well supported by Android. Apps that didn't allow for moving to the card, apps that didn't want to store data there, file system limitations etc.
I miss having a real LED notification light and the headphone jack. Liking my new-ish Pixel 5 but there's a few things that don't feel great coming from an older Sony.

I went from Sony to Motorola when I cracked my screen. The Sony was worlds better.
Unfortunately they've stopped selling Sony in Canada, so I'm stuck as to what to get next.
