I have yet to see it here.
I guess Carroll County hasn't figured out it is a easy way to make money.

Quoting the law, which I didn't dispute, doesn't make me suddenly start seeing cops enforcing it.

Montgomery county is a jurisdiction unto itself when it comes to "law enforcement". They have their own ant idling and anti warmup police enforcement.

I give bikes lots of space for this reason. I had a friend who was dragged under a car for several hundred feet before the driver figured it out.

I just wish to berkeley people would do the same for me and my horse. Most people are decent and slow down. Others seem like they want to teach you a lesson for daring to be on the same road. The good thing about horses is that they're capable of getting out of the way - the bad thing is that they can be frightened by speeders, or rocks getting thrown up. Seriously, do they have any idea of the consequences of hitting a 1200 lb. animal? It's not going to be pretty for anybody.

Yeah, seen that more than once, some people just do not care. Then there are the actively jerkish types; I watched some flatbiller in a diesel dually pull up beside a couple of bicyclists on the new bridge in Charleston and blast them with soot. Could not for the life of me figure out why, they were in the bike lane and not impeding his progress.

It works the other way around too, getting behind a bicyclist determined to use the entire lane at 20 mph can be infuriating, it gets worse when you finally find a place to pass safely and get the finger as you go by. The horse and OHV trail systems in the Francis Marion were specifically separated to avoid OHV/horse encounters, there's a HUGE equestrian trail system. The horsey types saw nothing wrong with going on the OHV trail but if it happened the other way around...
