I need advice please.

Instead of trying to draw a Corvette drivetrain and suspension 3D model from scratch, I have been searching for an already developed one on the interweb. I have found a front engine LS9 engine and 6 speed transaxle in STL format used for 3D printing. I have also discovered that if I rent the $50 version of Sketchup for a month, it will convert STL files into DWG files which I can import into my Autocad program. I have no idea how the STL to DWG file will look like or behave after all of the converting but I can imagine that it will be unusable.

I wonder what format the below Vette drivetrain models where (originally) drawn/displayed from and I wonder if I could purchase a converted DWG file from whatever they are. (sure could be STL format originally)

I do have my old Windows XP work computer that has Autocad Architecture 2006 up to maybe 2016 that might convert STL files all by itself. I need to dig it out from under that pile of junk that's sitting on it. It should be safe to use as long as I never go online with it. (Edit: I guess it won't convert stl files.)

I don't like buying stuff on the interweb from entities that I can't assume are safe.

Cults3D.com : TREMEC TR-6060 for CORVETTE ZR1 - GEARBOX

To stuff under these things: smiley

Luckily I finally found two uncorrupted versions of my 8 wheeled Supercar and Track Roadster that will open after the great computer crash of 2021 so at least I don't have to start over from scratch along with the beginning of the lower box frame for the Supercar.
