The one you miss the most.

I miss my aqua '72 MGB roadster sometimes, but the J-H makes all that go away.

I kind of miss everything I had. Aside from not getting into accidents that killed them, the only thing I would change is not buying back my first neon. State Farm only want like $60, but my parents didn't want another car sitting in the yard.

And at that point I had sworn off neons...

I miss my wife, but I'm working to improve my aim.

Of all the things I've loved and lost, I miss my mind the most.

The turbo Voyager is a close second though.

my first, third, and fifth .... all back in the late '60's and early '70's (every thing since that has gotten away I've been ok with)

1st: '65 Sunbeam Alpine

2nd: '64 E type (pos but damn I'd love to have it back)

3rd: '62 Mk X sedan (see 2nd...)

1964 Buick Skylark

I wish I still had this, it was my first car. I had big plans for it, but it needed frame repair which was beyond my capabilities at the time. It was sooooooo slow; it had the 225 "Fireball" V6/Powerglide combo, and I was going to keep it a V6 car, but with a Grand National drivetrain. Never happened, and I want it back!

1987 Mercury Cougar XR7

I actually had 2 of these, but the second one was pretty nice, and it got me around for almost 2 years. It made all the right sounds, but was also super slow, which was perfect for a 18 year old high school kid. Being a Fox-Body, I also had big plans for it, but my parents made me get something else before I could sink my high school graduation money into it. You don't see these cars at all anymore.

1983 Camaro Z28

Even though it was incomplete when I bought it, with no title and the most broken sounding 305 I've ever heard, I miss it. I bought it for $325 with a spare IROC nose, some random interior parts, and a 4-bolt main 350 longblock out of a G20 van. Looking back, I should have stuffed this somewhere to come back to later. It had all the right options: composite hood, no A/C, a manual trans, manual everything (except for steering), and T-Tops. I had to ditch it when I bought my 1st Trans Am. It could have been one hell of a Challenge car. Pity I didn't know what GRM was back then.

2002 Subaru WRX Wagon

Every time I get into my newer WRX, I miss my old one. I had so much crap done to the car! Full suspension, gauges, exhaust, poly bushings everywhere, all sorts of aftermarket braces, a decent tune, cool wheels, and the ever important big honkin' JDM hood scoop. It introduced me to the world of turbo cars, and I should have taken better care of it. I beat the crap out of it every day, and it got angry at me at about 86,000 miles, so I had to trade it in. It had more character than my newer one could ever wish of having. I still have the wheels, but since my new car has the stupid TPMS sensors, if I bolt them on, it will turn on the stupid light. I wish I took better care of that car.

All that said, I did learn a lesson from all of the above automotive heartache: Don't get rid of cool cars if you can help it. Right now, my stable of silver cars (hence the screen name) includes two 1979 Trans Ams and the 2009 WRX in my profile pic. I've flirted with getting rid of the 2nd Trans Am I picked up years ago (a 10th Anniversary W72 model that's ultra rare, but a basket case), but I always remember the case of that Z28.

Like the Z28, the 10th is a rare car, and it's in rough shape, but I know if it goes, I'll regret it instantly. Unless someone throws me an insane offer, its not leaving my possesion. Also, both of my T/A's were built in Norwood Ohio in December of 1978 on the same assembly line, so I consider them twins that have been separated at birth. It would be a shame if I separated them again!

My 94 Accord EX sedan, leather with 5 speed. Purchased from the original owner. It was a fantastic daily driver and was in the habit of saving my arse when people drove like dimwits. I miss that car.

for some reason in my mind I miss the yugo... but I never drove it more then around the block (needed a carb rebuild before it would go further)...

for what it could have been my '85 shelby charger

and then there is the aw11 that got me into cars... a little more time and a few 100$ more and it would have been something to behold.

but in the end... prob my neon ACR... I had it much longer then anything i've ever had... the biggest prob I ever had with it was the clutch cable and me ripping the seat mount welds out (easy fix with some thick steel plate and some large grade8 bolts :)... it's gone only because of my own poor choice to not do the timing belt yet (planned to do it in another month or 2 and then SNAP... i still kick myself over it... it was a great DD... had plenty of gogo for around town, handled very well and got great MPG... by far the best pizza delivery car I ever had :)

I hung onto my 99 Si because I didn't want to have something to contribute to this thread. I know I'd miss it horribly if I got rid of it.

You said the one I miss the most... I still own it, but I haven't driven it in at least 7 years, and it currently lives 2 1/2 hours away from me.

The '74 Fiat 124 Spider I put into a tree at 30 mph back in '77.

I still kind of miss my ST184 Celica. It was a slug with the auto 5S-FE, but such a beautiful car to look at. And still the best interior in anything I've owned. I'd love to get my hands on a clean GT-Four.

I miss having an AE86, but I don't miss my AE86, or rather what was left of it after 20+ years in the Road Salt Capital of the Universe. Losing the brakes three times in a year because the hardlines are rusting through gets old quick. Fun cars though.

I miss the Fridge, my '78 Mk1 Fiesta. I bought it as an unloved, beige, dirty abandoned trade-in for $65. Autocrossed, rallied, and daily driven it was like a best friend. Sold it to a young autocrosser so I could buy a CRX Si that I never really grew attached to. It had a good, long history of motorsports before rust killed it. I find it ironic that the Mini is the same color and drives in a more condensed version the same way as my old Ford.

Come to think of it, I miss my '78 Fiesta as well. I bought it for $200 from a good friend, it had new tires/brakes/hoses etc and all it needed was an ignition module. Those were $45 at the time; I tried to get her to fix it and drive it but she decided she just HAD to have a new Escort. I autocrossed it a few times and generally drove the dog snot out of it. Then it got clobbered from behind by some idiot in a Buick, the impact drove me into the back of the Toyota ahead of me and effectively ended the poor thing's life.

The only one I really miss is the '69 F100 with no power options and a big block. Damn fun truck and still my favorite body style. Every time I see one for sale I count my piggy bank.

I have had THAT EXACT CAR. I bought it brand spanking new from Saturn of Honolulu. (yes I was living in Hawaii :-) )

The only options mine had were A/C, cassette player, and the upgraded coaxial speakers. Crank windows, manual locks, those stupid passive motorized shoulder belts that got stuck halfway up when it was cold, and the patented "open the door in the rain and have all the rain spill right onto the drivers seat" feature, that the owner of any 1st gen S-series is familiar with. I still have the owner's manual (the previous owner even saved the window sticker, went for $12,865!) and the VIN tag as a memento.

It was beat to E36 M3 by the time I bought it, hence why it became an autocrosser.

How's your piggy bank? I know where there is one right now, Custom Cab red and white with an FE and column shift.

I miss my 87 CRX Si, but I let it go and don't regret it. I probably could have kept it alive just fine but body rust was unrelenting. I probably drove it two years past the point where it was no longer safe, I'd hate to see how badly it would hold up in a wreck.

I kinda regret letting go of my crashed 96 Miata. I did buy it back from insurance and made my money back parting it out, eventually selling off the shell with running gear to someone else. At the very least I should have kept the soft top 'just in case' but it went with the shell, but more pressing, I see a lot of Locost builds and geez, I had a good working donor drivetrain in my driveway for quite a while before sending it off.

Geez that was a good car. 136,000 miles and not a speck of rust on it anywhere, just a couple door dings, till some chick plowed into it and pushed me into the back of a minivan.

shortly after the pic i dropped it 2" all around with impala SS springs and installed the SS 3.08 posi disc brake rear axle, front and rear SS sway bars, and had an aluminum driveshaft built and put on 17x8 mustang bullitt wheels.

then i got an itch to get a turbo car, bought one, and sold the caddy. dumbest move EVER. now turbo car gone, caddy gone, and i have a rusty P71 that i am sick of and wishing i had my caddy back

I miss them all in one way or another. Well, except maybe the '88 Mirage turbo. That car was just weird.

But the one that I miss AND regret is the '90 CRX Si. Oh God I sold that car at the wrong time. Yes, it funded my 944, but that CRX was such an awesome, awesome car. Also, it was awesome. Just did everything so right, and got a zillion miles to the gallon, and was also awesome.

Another vote for a CRX. I owned the 1988, former GRM supercharged CRX Si for a while. It was an on again and off again play car and/or daily driver and of all the Hondas that I owned this one was the best. I have fond memories of autocrossing it in a driving rainstorm and hillclimbing it several times before I sold it. It went to a friend of mine who was supposed to take care of it but he didn't. Last I heard the drivetrain was sold off and the shell was in storage.

My first car was a 91' Nissan NX2000, I remember sitting around online researching all kinds of small cheap cars and I settled on the B13 because it had the bad ass 140hp SR20DE. I really wanted a sentra se-r but I couldn't find any on the eastern seaboard worth having. I found the NX and knew it was basically the same car with some weird looks. I beat on it and still got over 30mpg. I liked it because it wasn't a typical honda civic or integra.

In the last two weeks I have found two $300 NX2000's. Both of them sold nearly instantly.
