Every now and then I weed out some accounts while picking up new ones.

I have an account for my website. While I'm not making full use of it, it's a great way to get links around the world and draw in traffic. Close to half of my current traffic comes from twitter(of that, the UK and RU oddly), and it seems a lot of big companies in my industry use it for giveaways and honest feedback. Faceplace would probably be better from a business standpoint, but I want nothing to do with that abomination.

I do have a personal account to follow bands and bars in the area. A surprising number of shows and specials seem to be announced there before or even instead of on their websites or in house calendars. My entire local area is pretty not online though, which is weird and annoying. Big stores, restaurants, venues, whatever, they barely have websites or yelp profiles let alone a social media presence. Even my SCCA region is fairly quiet online, and was extremely difficult to find.
