I was driving in the Kia Rondo when I caught movement in my peripheral vision and heard the distinctive click of metal hitting plastic. A black screw had fallen into my cupholder. I immediately looked up to see where it fell from, but there is nothing immediately above the cupholders. The center console is well forward of them, and the dome light is well behind. I checked both for any exposed or missing screws, nothing. I checked all over the dash and the doors and the trim...nothing.
It appears that a small tear in space/time opened a foot above my left cupholder and out fell a screw. My theory is that it is a screw that I dropped in the past and could not find because it fell into the tear. If you own my old Civic or MR2 or Samurai or Impala, I have your missing screw.

Don't worry, you're not the only one here with a screw loose.
Did you see a blue Police box flash past?

Look for something like this above your visor:
My wife's Fusion randomly lost a brake caliper bracket bolt. So the rear caliper was slidding around on her way home from work at midnight. I got up a 6AM to check whats wrong and no bolt to be found back there. I took a flywheel bolt and installed it. Will be going to the dealer today and buying a caliper bracket bolt and installing that.

Might want to put the other one back in the flywheel as well. :)
once the other screws come out and the part finally falls off then you will probably realize what its for.
It came from the same void 10 mm sockets disappear to
there is no explanation
Want to make me nuts? Throw a nut or bolt under my car. I keep a neat garage and notice everything.
Maybe its the screw that fell out of the overhead console on my chevy truck allowing it to swing down and bash my skull! I havnt been able to find it anywere and its the only damn screw that holds it on.

I may or may not have done that at work under another crews jet in the hanger.
I occasionally have the visor screws fall out in my miata. I don't know why.

All the guys that work in unmanned just shrug their shoulders and wheel it out anyway.
Ahhh. I have finally found where the portal in the engine bay of my 4-runner leads to, please throw it back into the roof so I can retrieve it...
