Just wanted to point out I'm missing from the list (ParagonPlayer), although I'm sure I'm somewhere towards the bottom with what little points I have. :)
And, you can take T1 in 4th? I think that was the one turn I never felt totally confident about.
Thanks for the screenshots, very fun race!

Should be fixed now. I get confused over board nyms vs. xBox gamertags vs. real names.
Yeah, in cars this slow, just touch the brakes a little early before you get there..apex in the middle (FWD, right?) and you can soar through the first part of T1. I get on the brakes again about half-way down that curbing on the left and downshift to 3rd to get through the reducing radius part.
And as in real life, missing a points event causes championship points challenges to fade... Sad face.
Hope you guys had fun, I'll be back next week. Great Lakes Solo Series today!
Yep, you could take T1 in 4th. There were some laps where I just coasted in, scrubbed speed through the corner, quick dab of the brakes and down to third for T2. Worked great!
T1 is about the only corner I didn't have problems with. Except for the times I carried a bit too much momentum in. Damn I was slow last night.
Sorry I missed last night, I forgot all about it while playing with Jav Jr. You guys can replace me with somebody else that will actually race every week.
Hate I missed it too, but was pro-actively clawing my way back in from the doghouse.

Which means you didn't miss a points event in Real Life(tm).
Guess which one I'd rather do. Yeah, there's gonna be a lot of dead pylons when I finally find a job. Gotta get the aggression out before I convert the green C to a time trial car. Gotta be calm on a road course.
I dont lift when turning into t1. i apex early and straight line brake and downshift coming up to the curbing before T1A/T2 whatever it is and then turn in and power on pretty early.

AHA! I'll bet I was apexing too late. Every time I tried it without lifting (in "testing" ), the car got thrown off drivers' left up on that curbing. I just found a line that gave me a personal best in practice & stuck with it. Might catch y'all someday, but it probably won't be tomorrow, right?
Thanks for the tip!

I too was taking turn 1 flat normally in 4th gear, though I could've upshifted to 5th if I wanted to, found it was easier to control braking attitude with only one downshift and turn in speed was the same in both gears. If you notice right after the end of the pit exit merge line there is an access road on track right. I use the near edge of pavement for my turn in point. Aim for the curbing inside 1, straight line brake towards the outside curbing between 1 and 2, brake down to the mid 70's and turn hard for a mid-apex through 2 (I normally was looking at an apex speed of 72 or 73mph.)

sorry i missed it! sounds like yall had fun...nobody at my motel knew what internet provider they carried!they said ATT but-not true....so i couldnt get my xbox online.... the hillclimb was great and i should be running my crx there in sept! now on to the next Bspec race!
EDIT: Didn't see your updated post corrado, but you did have a few mixed up that dont agree with my numbers. I went off of the page 1 post and added the points from the last race to that. You forgot to add my extra 1 point for fastest lap/pole. Also i got switchblade at 8th (5pts) and he had 10 on the original post, so that would put him at 15. I also dont know if the best livery points have been awarded.
If anyone else sees any errors please let me know.
Figured since Duke wont be on for a bit, I'll update the standings here. I was surprised to see I took the lead!
I'll get on later tonight and practice if anyone is interested.

In reply to AtticusTurbo27 and to everyone else in the series:
Use Atticus' points list instead of mine...I completely forgot about the extra point for pole & fastest lap, and didn't factor in the points for best livery as well.
Thanks for fixing it AT27.
EDIT: No sweat, man. Thanks for fixing it! Motor racing requires honesty..and honestly--I screwed it up.

I just edited my post in response to just seeing your updated post. who are we officially going to give best livery for last week so i can add that in?
I'll vote for paragon also.
Running 1:08's @ tsukuba, which I assume means you guys are running 1:05's. Any friendly advice on the last turn? Right now I'm turning in in 4th, lifting, shifting to third. Can't seem to figure out a faster way.

I do the same thing, havent got much practice in yet though. But here is my livery for the week. still working on it. Figured Id do a mazda that is normally seen lapping tsukuba: Panspeed RX-7 tribute!
Fun racing tonight! Christalmighty, mutant is fast.
Yea, sorry guys I wasn't able to make the last one. Had some business to take care of. I would have been able to jump into this Friday's race, but have to jump on a plane at 8pm. Hopefully I can get an Xbox going next week so i can get back in it.
Updated the front page with the current points. Thanks Atticus for keeping up with it
I've run a coupla high 1:07s, but mostly low 1:08 as Tsukuba.

Hmm, need to figure out what times I'm running, in other words practice. As for the last turn, That's pretty much what I've been doing. I keep things around 80mph through the last turn, maybe high 70's. The real key for laps time I've found are turns 1, 5, and 8. I find I get the best times with a really late apex in 1 and 8. I mean really late.
I've been unable to match my 1:08's. Maybe I should ease up on the vadka. I literally have to tell my self "be patient" in 8. In 1, it's such a fine line between "late apex" and "in the sandbox," I probably turn in a little too early. I don't think I have a problem with 5(?) just a lift. I could definitely stand to clean up 1 and 9. I feel like I'm losing a lot of time there.
It is really easy to lose all kinds of time in 9. I've had it be worth nearly a second on some laps.

It definitely feels that way. I berkeleying nailed it once out of 11 laps tonight, and the following lap was my best.
At the moment, my best is a 1:07.892. Can't duplicate it, I run consistent low 1:08s. Most of the time, I'm holding 80mph or better through 9, I'm getting through T1 to T4 pretty well. My split time seems to turn from green to red between T5 through T8. I go from .2 ahead of my personal best to .2 behind it before running through T9 again (where I seem to get .15 back by keeping the speed so high).
