It was a fun little battle with you in the early stages of the race. Once I downshifted and saw the yellow engine and trans, I knew you would start gaping like crazy.

Errrrrgh! Totally forgot. Thanks to whoever sent me an invite, but me and mrs. shovel were halfway through a movie at that point.

That was me. I saw you were on Netflix and probably were tied up. Just wanted to send the invite just in case.
Do we want to revive a series? Or just alternate between the specs we've already established, B-Spec, Honda Challenge, Spec IT7, etc?
I have a few others I'm brewing up, Spec AE86, Spec Miata (maybe Fantasy Spec Miata rather than actual... we'll see), other suggestions. Spec is easier to make competitive, but I'd consider more cushiony rules like for Honda Challenge... a list of eligible cars, must use race weight, cage, and all suspension upgrades, spec tire compound and size, all else open, that kind of thing.
Race length was good. I vote for mixing things up - with all of the different series we've tried out now, we should be able to get a good mix going.
My suggestions for future rule-sets - The King Cobra and the BMW 2002 are pretty entertaining to drive, I think spec racing those could be a ton of fun.
+1 on the race length. And mixing it up would allow the busy folks to get in without having to leave & build a car.
Good to see the folks again last night! I got the Prelude up to 4th before I ran the tires off of it. I've got to start spending more time on tuning.
The B-Specs need to be fixed first. The Suzuki is not right for the class, and the Versa and Fit need their tire sizes and HP brought in line with the other cars in class.
I've found some of the best racing in 'stock' car racing. Pick a car, run it stock, and try to match it to a track. Keep changing it every race.

I didn't know the Suzuki was in B-Spec. If you want to propose any edits to the Versa and Fit builds, let's hear it.
I'm not sure what "match it to a track" means. Like, literally everybody runs a completely unmodified car and you just try to pick the best one? Or everybody runs the same car and you edit only tire pressure?
It's not a B-Spec car at all. The motor is too big for the class.
Everybody runs the same bone stock vehicle, and hopefully the track is matched to the car. Sometimes it doesn't work out that way, but sometimes that makes it more fun!

That actually sounds pretty fun.
Sorry I didn't make it Monday - someone invited guests over and they weren't interested in watching me race. Wouldn't even go for the bribe!
A stock series could be fun since I haven't been very good at tuning but I would still like the spec series. A mix on different nights might work giving others a chance to race as well.
One thing I've been thinking of trying is a "stock" series with some of race cars, like a Porsche GT3 Cup Car or one of the track day cars. That would be kinda neat.
Well if you did do that they are already pretty modded and there are loads of paint options a bit like racing GTC. I do love sportscar racing
One of the most entertaining "stock spec" races I have ever done was in the Viper Comp Coupe. It's very very close to the Viper Cup cars and its not DLC, which makes it as lifelike the Porsche, but its not DLC which keeps it accessible for all.
Plus, as we did it right after Spec Miata, it feels like a Spec Miata on much steroids.
As I was here checking out GRM forums, this was announced at TORA:
MSA TORA Spec Cup Season 1 Season 1 - 1998 VW Golf GTi VR6 Mk3
http://forums.theonlineracingassociation.com/f322-msa-tora-spec-cup-season-1
This has friedgrncorrado's name all over it: VWs, in a league sanctioned series. Bound to have multiple lobbies, as my guess is well over 30 entries. Qualifying, and a couple races on a Wednesday afternoon @ 3PM Eastern/12N Pacific.

Hmm..that early in the afternoon, I might not screw up their races with my drunk driving! My problem is that my hands don't last very long without my beer & BC powder (I need a wheel & pedals!!). Still, I think I'll give it a look. Thanks for the tip!
