Going to see a concert here soon. Will be staying at a hotel on the North side of North Point Mall. Venue website has directions to parking, but only for the trip to in. Most of these places have specific routing/one way E36 M3/ PoPo directing traffic etc. Berkeley me getting out? Our designated parking is Lot A (will be my first time seeing a show with designated parking instead of 1st come 1st serve). Anyone familiar with this venue and have advice on how to exit Lot A and get back across 400 to the area around Haynes Bridge Rd & North Point Dr. based on any forced traffic patterns exiting the venue?

Also, anyone got recommendations for a good place to eat dinner (preferably not a national chain) in this area?

Encore Pkwy would probably be your best bet. You could take it to Northpoint Pkwy or cut through Northpoint mall and get back that way. You are close enough that you could walk back to your hotel (I think, never done it).

FYI: I drive by there at least 2x day but haven't been to a show yet so I don't know how they direct traffic afterward.

No shortage of good restaurants, though- my favorite is Mambo's. They serve South American food, a lot different than Mexican. They are in a shopping center at Haynes Bridle and Old Milton, a mile or so from where you are staying.

There is also the Varsity- pretty much a giant hot dog stand and Atlanta standby. The one in Alpharetta isn't as cool as the original downtown, IMHO, though. It is about 1/2 mile from you at Haynes Bridge and Westside Pkwy.

The Village Tavern and Sage are both great but pricey, Alphasoda has good Southern (fried) food.

By the way- all day Saturday and Sunday morning we are having a 944-Spec racer build party about 20 minutes north of Alpharetta in Cumming- stop by if you can, just pm me for the address.

Enjoy the show!

The parking lot we are in is on the back side of the venue off of Old Roswell Rd. Looking at a map it appears we can go North or South and get back over, but I'm expecting they will force traffic to go one way so I'm hoping to be prepared.

Thanks for planning our dinner! I wasn't aware there was a Varsity in the area, but that's a place I gotta go. As soon as I told my wife that dinner was planned she said "The Varsity? There's one right by the hotel, but it isn't the original." Apparently she did the Google at lunch and she knows me pretty well.

I'd love to make the build party, but I doubt that will happen.
