Crazy Train you say? The one where Ozzy says I.. I.. EYE EYE?
This thread came back from the dead and I read through it and can't believe I missed this bit of hilariity. Dang that's good!
@ShawnG - I've had that happen more times than I can count. I now either look for glasses that really hug the face, or are really big to prevent this from happening. For lawn mowing I found a pair of sunglasses that are tight fitting and have a foam gasket around them. maybe I should order non-tinted versions of them.
...Knocking on wood aggressively...
I've never gotten any metal in my eyes. I have gotten battery acid in them but a flush with fresh water took care of that. I have scratched an eyeball with sand while at the beach. It sucks for a day or so.
I'm still wearing glasses every waking hour and probably always will. I'll always order them with polycarbonate lenses.
Where I do have cases of eye protection is at work. I buy over the glasses safety glasses as well as regular ones and scatter them through the shop and trucks.
I'm at the point that I am wearing sunglasses or safety glasses if I am driving my Miata with the top down; depending upon if its day or night. I got hit in the face with a small pebble and that would have been a disaster if it had hit my eye.
So what do you guys do about fogging up? Being blind under the car is a pretty worthless way to spend time.
