Can't light it on fire. Too much beer.

Great game though. Both teams put up a serious effort. I predict lots of bitching about all the fouls going against GS.

they were good cars, with an almost 25 year production run. you can get them in decent shape for not much money:

The river hardly ever catches fire any more.

This is what comes to mind locally when burning river is mentioned.

Congrats to the Cavs.

I watched a couple of the games. Hadn't seen an NBA game in something like 15 years. The game as it is played today has no interest to me. Pretty terrible to watch unless you like to watch people shooting 3 pointers all the time.

Oh man, I've been looking for a decent square body Cavalier to add to my collection. They are all gone. I had two different 4-doors and they were just automotive cockroaches. Keep it fueled and full of fluids (which all leaked) and it would run forever.

If they run forever, where did they all go?

As a Browns fan, this championship gives me hope for a Wild Card loss in 2018.

And at some point was available in just about every body style. Coupe, sedan, wagon, convertible, hatchback.

Ah, that last part "keep it full of fluids" was the death of them. We sold our last one to a guy with explicit instructions to check the oil DAILY, and to not drive it on the highway (which caused it to sling copious amounts of oil). The moron promptly tried to drive it to another state (on the highway) and blew the engine within six hours of ownership. My Dad had DD'd that car for two years around town just fine, with ice cold A/C. The moron buyer called later screaming that we sold him a lemon, but we just laughed and hung up. The police impound called a few days later saying we needed to collect our car. We told them it wasn't our car and we had the bill of sale to prove it. That poor car would have lasted at least two more years if it had just been driven like we told him. What do you expect from a $500 car with working A/C?

The floor in mine eventually dissolved. It still ran great but being a bit husky it was a matter of time before I put skidmarks on the outside of my shorts.

As a long time Cleveland sports fan, So happy to get this off our back and happy that Lebron was able to deliver. It's a great core of talent that if kept together and healthy can make a long term run there in Cleveland. It's obvious the skills are there for a potential longer term run.

I've heard that quote used to describe GM cars in general.

Once again, this forum impresses me by loving the unlovable. I once heard the Cavalier described as an "Unredeemable E36 M3wagon". I think that is being kind. Poorly designed in the darkest days of GM, poorly built at GM's worst plant. You guys can love anything. Bunch of softies....

As for the basketball game, that was a good one. Good series, in fact. I've come around on LeBron, I really didn't like him early in his career with all the hype, plus the fact that he played a big role in ending the Pistons' mid-2000s run, then the whole "Decision" BS. But you could certainly see what it meant to him to bring a title home to Cleveland last night. And besides, Cleveland is a fellow rust-belt town that's had it rough for a while, a lot like Detroit, but unlike Detroit, they've had a sports championship drought that extends to before I was born. So, good for them.

Oh, the Cavalier was definitely an Unredeemable E36 M3wagon, but damn if it wasn't a durable Unredeemable E36 M3wagon
