I finally found the title and artist to one of my favorite tango songs from Berlin: "Auflosen" by Die Toten Hosen

I have been looking for this song for a year now.

It's awesome when you "discover" a band and find they already have 5 albums of awesome work.

You should stop now, those guys are terrible. My sister dragged my Mom to a concert of theirs while she was underage. Guy behind them was very drunk and peed on everyone in front of him, including my Mom. They stopped going to concerts after that.

Oh - Brooks Williams at the moment.

Hung out with Brent for a couple hours a few months ago at a show in ATL. Cool dude, despite what the int4rwebs might have one believe. We just talked about guitars and chicks and stuff, and told bad jokes. And they are indeed rad. "Blood and Thunder" still gets me ready to twist someone's head off every time I hear it.

What would the internetz have me believe? From the interviews and stuff I've watched he just seems like a laid-back stoner who likes to play metal with his friends?

He gets drunk and turns into a berkeleying maniac (is what the interwebz would have you believe.) Can't remember who it was, but some dude(s) from another band damned near killed him one night. Conflicting versions of the events. He was super cool when I hung out with him...but only mildly drunk and...um...stuff.

Lately, I have been listening to Vida Blue. It was a bass-keys-drum trio including Page from Phish, Oteil Burnbridge (sp?) who plays/played bass w/ the Allman Bros. and the drummer from the Meters. Very jammy/instrumental music to drive to. All great musicians as well.

Not listening too, but I had 5 11-12 year old girls at the house this weekend all singing some crazy song about space unicorns making rainbows and firing marshmallow lasers, and god damn it I can't get the stupid tune out of my head AAaaggghhhhhhhhh

Edit OK, so you can all share in my misery I check you tube. Here it is in all its crappieness.

Warning, if you have tween or pre-teen daughters do not let them hear it. They will pretend to think it's childish and beneath them, while singing it in unison and playing it over and over and over and over and and and and...........

Coheed and Cambria's "The Afterman" CD.

They used to sound much like Rush, but they have developed into something else, for the better. There's a song called "Holly Wood The Cracked" that sounds like Motley Crue and Guns N Roses' tour buses collided in 1989. Way too cool.
