Finally got my copy of XTC's Wasp Star (Apple Venus Volume 2) so we've been spinning that one on the hi-fi.

Yes.
The Tool sound is unique but consistent. And either you like it or you don’t. I like it but when I put a Tool CD in the shop player it can stay there for a month or more.

Yes, I am a big Tool fan since Undertow. I can't claim to be OGT but I was introduced to them in the mid-'90s. I just haven't picked up Fear Innoculum yet.

There's something amusing about watching a bubbly Norwegian girl (although she's actually about 30) play death metal riffs with a huge grin.
Not to mention she can play circles around most... Definitely me.

Another Canadian band you've never heard of. An intersting mix of heavy, funk, and generally progressive music. From their debut album and there's not a bad song on it
One more from their second album. The 1-2 minute instrumental breaks in the middle of some of their songs make them so much more enjoyable
