New Zealand
I think Brazil is a good up and comer. I think most of it is still a bit too third worldie now, but I bet in another ten to fifteen years its going to be one of the best places to be.
But if I ruled the world I think NZ would be my home, sadly I think I'm to old and poor for their standards now.
I'm a New Zealander, and I'd like to live in the US. Wife swap anyone?
There is supposed to be a man drought down here, so if you are single/available there are plenty of NZ citizens seeking a male companion...they lurve your accent...

From what I've heard, most South American countries are filled with Euros who were tired of putting up with Europes E36 M3.
Supposed to be a decent part of the world to live.
I have encountered a lot of students from all over the place. Central and South America, much of Europe, China, India... Most love it here, few want to go back. They like our air that's easy to breathe, infrastructure that more or less works, relative safety of our cities, and comparatively rich job opportunities.
It's pretty nice here, you have to admit.

I've spent some time in Germany, Austria, Italy, Scotland, and Norway and I enjoyed visiting them all. They each had their strong points, but yeah, it is pretty nice here.
LaMaddalena, just off the coast of Sardinia.
Second choice: The Azores.

Terceira.

That's a tough one, if I was serious, I'd really have to do some research.
Otherwise, somewhere in the Carribean. I'd do it now, but my limited research indicates it's hard for foreigners to get jobs.

Damned racist.

I need to go to New Zeeland.
Probably back to Canada for me, but Europe would be nice for a while. Northern France or any where in the Alps.
I was in the Isle of Man two years ago and it was quite wonderful.
Everybody I've met who has been to Neh Zelant says it's the most beautiful place in the world.
Barbados and Bahamas have been mentioned, I'll add St. Lucia. St. Lucia has a lower cost of living and a decent gov. Barbados is very civilized and wealthy with a very clean government. Very low crime, a lot of Brit ex-pats. Bahamas would probably have the best jobs for expats, and it's real easy to get back to the States for shopping. To live in any of the areas, you really need to have some kind of internet based business, finding employment may be a real challenge. Just say that they can't comprehend US style wages.
The WFO mentality of the Chinese drivers is pretty cool.
Europe would be nice but I would have to be Bill Gates to afford the taxes on my vehicle hobby.
I have looked at New Zealand and Australia, seem cool.
Luxemburg or Sweden...
Germany. I've actually put a bit of thought into this.
Yes, fuel is ridiculously expensive. However, public transportation is EVERYWHERE, which means you really only need to spend money on fuel when you want to go on a trip or out on a drive. And when you DO want to drive, you have access to the best interstate highway system in the world (the Autobahn), and you are a day's drive from some of the best back roads in the world (just about any pass through the Alps).
The downside is that owning a vehicle there is stupid expensive.
Honestly, I have to say that the US of A is probably the best place in the world to live if you're into an automotive hobby.
Jamaica. On a farm.
