I know the US has it's problems too, but as someone said, it's a great place for an automotive hobby.
I don't usually get patriotic, but I gotta say the US for all of its problems is a great place to be. It is so geographically and culturally diverse, you can move to a different area and get a whole new experience. For example, Boston seems like such a completely different world than Wisconsin, I almost feel like it's another country. Eastern Mass seems like a different world than Florida, which seems totally different than the southwest, etc... The only similarity I can see is the flag and and language, and sometimes those change, too.

I love me some beer so... I'm enjoying Germany quite a bit. I could probably do Belgium as well. NZ was my knee-jerk choice though. For all of the above, see "beer" (NZ has the best hops in the world).
My first choice would be NZ. No language barrier and seems like an awesome country all around. Second pick would be Germany with Denmark third.

Singapore!
One of the cleanest urban areas that I have ever seen, people are well educated and diverse, most speak very good English.
And the women are among the most beautiful in the world.
Brazil may be a close second, but I would have to do a personal reconnoiter first.
Barring that........Bali Indonesia!

Dude... there are few language barriers greater than the barrier between two different countries that speak English.
Imagine a Mainer moving to New Orleans. Talk about two different languages...
I've been to Iceland a few times and loved it. Anyone have commentary on living there?

I fully agree. I'm not a patriot in the korean-war-vet-kill-gay-people-and-praise-jesus sense of the word, I'm a patriot in the we-could-be-awesome-if-we-just-didn't-fear-everything kinda way.
America is a geographic and cultural mecca. The melting pot still exists here, its just that Americans have tried to make it politically correct to label each layer of the alloy.

JG, I don't think this winter would get you down - it's been well above zero for most of this month. There's no snow on the roads and just a few drifts here and there. Love it.

He said "golddigger at my side". He should have plenty of sex. Or is there some other kind.
I asked my father where he would go.. he mentioned American Samoa. Still in the US, but FAR away from the mainland and all the BS that goes on there.
Cost of living is dirt cheap, and from the few samoans I have met (we have a lot working in the casinos) they are nice people... BIG people.. but nice
Canada (the part between Detroit and Buffalo that doesn't get stupid-cold for eight months every year) or Italy (I'm applying to work at Ferrari, Ducati, and Aprilia, so this might actually happen)
Italy is one of my choices..

That's an imaginary part of Canada.
Come West, you'll love the weather, you don't have to shovel rain.

That's in the far west part. It gets stupid cold where I am, on the Canadian prairie (north of Montana).
