If I had the money to do so, I'd have a bunch too. I would love to get the pair that Michael Weston wears on Burn Notice, but those go for 5-800 bucks depending on the exact lens color. So for now I will stick with the 3 pairs of vintage Carrera aviators. I love my pair that folds into the size of one lens.
Vintage service manuals, 1920's to 1970's but that I can justify as they earn me more money than they cost because of my business.
Gas and oil stuff (shop art, yeah, right) mostly Texaco and B/A petroliana from the start of each company up to the 1960's
Mechanix Illustrated magazines. Start date to 1959. I have one wall in my office wallpapered with pages from a few very tattered issues.
Vintage speed parts, (shop art again) 1950's and 60's vintage. I loves me some Eelco, Cal Custom and Offenhauser parts.
It's a sickness really.

It must be really bright over there...
a quick look over through my house revealed i collect shoes(ok no surprise there) also seems i collect belts....(over 65 hanging and i dont know why cause i have 3 that ill actually use and 2 of them go with specific things so ummmm) shoes it up at 75 pairs
Oh lord.... now you've made me realize how bad I am.
Lessee... there's the videogames, the shoes, the RC, the REAL cars, wheels for said real cars, hotwheels, nerf stuff..... I can always find something I want.
Don't actively collect anything, but I do have 6 cars in the fleet and will probably add a 7th within the next 2 years.
I've got probably 700 comic books from the mid-'80s through the mid/late-'90s. (Un)fortunately I mostly collected what I enjoyed reading, so most of them are not high-value books. Though I have a complete unread run of the original first-print Watchmen, among other things. And an original run of the first Men In Black indie.
I do seem to "acquire" old Macintoshes. We've got, oh, a dozen or so. I can probably set you up with 4 or 5 running Mac II Ci's with Apple 13" RGB monitors. Plus an orange 'pod' iMac and a 15" 'robot'.
My wife collects yarn. She's an avid knitter, though, so I don't begrudge her the "eyes are bigger than her needles" gusto with which she goes about it.
Let's see:

I'm only 27 and I want to down size most of the ramdom E36 M3 I have lying around. Too bad the only thing I could sell would be my blades, mostly wall hanging show peices.
I might give my star wars models to my nephew. They are new snap together models, so no real value there.
I have started collecting Hot Wheels, but I have no good way to store/display them, they just sit in dresser. And I'd like to collect guns, but that is way more $ than I have.

Serious? I need to expand my collection
I thought about this a while and realized the thing I'm collecting these days is experiences; basically trying to get out and do more stuff generally, whether it's getting to an auto-x or working on the car or a family trip or whatever. Sure, I've got a big collection of comics from when I was teenager, and a few hundred record albums, and fifty or so diecasts I've bought the last few years, and this...
Jay wrote: Does it count as 'collecting' if I use the stuff? Big into "vintage" synths & music gear right now, mostly '80s, some newer, some older. Prefer that it has MIDI.
Yeah, me too... kinda... should've known me when I was a undergrad comp student. I've pared my collection of vintage synth stuff way down since 8-10 year ago, but I started buying that stuff nearly 20 years ago when it was truly still cheap and not so overly sought after. As I sit here, I can see my current collection, which is down to a Radio Shack MG-1, original solid state Echoplex, Emu Proteus MPS+orchestral, Korg microKontrol, a couple old Casio mini samplers, a DIY theramin kit, and some odd vintage drum boxes... boom chicka-chicka boom chicka-chicka kinda stuff. I sold off stuff like my old Arp Axe, a single Moog 10, Vako Orchestron, Korg DW6000 & 8000 & microKorg, original TR303 and 505, and bunches of midi modules. But I gave up all that stuff when I got more serious about programming in CSound, CLM, and Supercollider in grad school. Now the vintage stuff is more for fun and teaching the kids.
But ultimately, give me an evening of hanging with fellow car enthusiasts or a day auto-x'ing and I'll feel like I added to my collection.
