Wallet, keys, knife for everyday. Keep a go bag and a book in the truck normally.

How often in those 20 years have you really needed that much cash on hand? It's one thing to carry it if you've got big plans, but to carry it everyday seems odd to me.
I've trimmed down to just:
Everything goes in the pants or sport jacket inside pocket except the glasses - they are a new requirement and I haven't figured out how not to crush them when I'm not looking thru them. Perhaps I'm in need of a "satchel" now?

More than a few times. I like to be able to buy something on the spot if a deal turns up.
Thinking back in the last few years...
Pull off wheels and tires from a new truck to put on my daily
Smith and Wesson 357
Miller plasma cutter
Millermatic 250 welder
Dave Scott Centurion Ironman bicycle
I don't waste time when a deal pops up in front of me. Like the Smith and Wesson, I was in the feed store buying dog food when an old woman walked in trying to sell her dead husband's nightstand gun. She didn't know how to use it and she said she didn't feel safe having it around her great grandkids. While other guys were trying to figure out how to round up cash or go to an ATM, I made the deal. Money doesn't do me any good sitting in the bank.
My lunchbox collects some non-food stuff and I have to empty it out occasionally. Right now it's got my most recent pay stub, my latest car insurance and 401k statements, and a thumb drive.
I always carry a water bottle.
Beyond that, wallet keys phone.
Small wallet for credit, discount and business cards as well as my state drivers license.
Large key ring with house and work building keys and a second key ring for whatever I'm driving.
Smart phone and knife.
Rotring 600 trio multipen
Tag Heuer Link watch
I also carry a zipable leather folio with the following in it
notepad
tablet
bluetooth keyboard for table
competition licenses
passport
A USB cable (red, so I don't leave it in rental cars)
ear buds
More business cards
Whatever paperwork I need for the day
Phone: Nokia N900
Wallet: Hempmania 8-pocket trifold black (very nice, just got it to replace a similar Quicksilver wallet)
Main Keychain: modular keyring hub, Niteize lockable S-biner to hold tools and individual car keys, Victorinox Manager mini swiss army knife, 36" mini measuring tape
Toyota keychain: Glass breaker & belt cutter tool
Watch: Some Casio sporty watch, or a Casio metal watch to look more formal.
Office bag: Lunch, work keys, work thumbdrive, 2.5mm jack phone headset, credit card form microUSB cable.
Wallet, keys, car keys, antique flip-phone. Sometimes my Cold Steel 4" clip knife, if I think I might, you know, need it.
On me for work I have a small cutco pocket knife, Gerber multitool, watch, a janitor sized set of keys clipped to my belt, Sharpie, pen, iPhone, incident report, and wallet/badge holder around my neck.
I'm my backpack I have an aluminum clipboard/bill box, flashlights, magnesium fire starter, more pens and paper work, disposable camera, roll of toilet paper on a rope sealed in a ziplock bag, socks and underwear in another ziplock, a couple big trash bags, hat and gloves, a couple ponchos, an adjustable spud wrench with the end ground square to fit the locks on bus compartments, extra pair of glasses, phone cord and battery pack, zip ties, duct tape, small first aid kit, Purell and a couple small towels.
That probably explains my back ache.
Wallet, back right. Handkerchief, back left. Phone, front left. Keys, carmex, Vicks inhaler, front right. For knives, Gerber EAB in the 5th/watch pocket(when present) and a Leek clipped inside the right front, if I remember.
Wallet and cellphone. I used to carry pocketknives, but I got out of the habit after 9/11 because I kept having to throw them away at airport security. Not much goes well with dress slacks, so I keep necessities stashed in my desk, in the car and at home.
I have a leather messenger bag for work travel. It carries my computer and iPad, any paperwork I need, assorted pens, charging cords and business cards. It's emptied after every trip.
If I am going out for the weekend, I may carry a Leatherman and a Beretta. I guess I travel pretty light.
For everyday just leaving the house, it's the basics of wallet, keys, and phone. My laptop bag that goes to work with me and on longer trips has phone chargers, USB cables, thumb drives, a Leatherman, a bottle of ibuprofen, some dental floss, pens, earbuds, and my badge.
Depending on where I'm going and what I'm wearing, I sometimes carry my M&P 9 Shield, but not very often.

Actually that is a good point--I should probably take my leatherman out of my work bag and put in something that is TSA friendly and/or very cheap.
Any suggestions for a TSA friendly multi tool? Ideally something that would have flathead, phillips, pliers, scissors, and bottle opener. I could put a razor-knife in there that would take care of that requirement, and just throw the razor away if I forget to take it out.
Wallet, phone, lighter, keys, cigarettes. Glock 26 will become an occasional thing once I get a holster, but probably only if I'm carrying large sums of cash or something like that.
3.5" Kershaw assisted opening knife, iPhone, and chapstick are always in my pockets.
Wallet and keys only if necessary.
I usually just carry my phone, but most days I don't leave my house. I add my wallet and keys when I leave the house.
When I travel for work, I carry a backpack with my computer and other work related stuff.
Wallet, keys, cash, phone, smokes, bic lighter, Zippo lighter, razor knife, regular pocket knife are in my Cargo pockets at all times.
My lcp 380 goes in a pocket when carrying large amounts of cash or going into questionable areas. It's smaller than my phone, and quite easy to forget I even have it.
I carry a bic and a Zippo lighter. In part because I smoke and drive a convertible, but also in part because I think a lighter is as important and useful as a knife. Never know when you'll need to strip wire, light a fire, or whatever.
Wallet, keys, usually some change, chapstick, cellphone. Sometimes smokes and lighter. Work I have a blackberry and badge. Stopped carrying a pocket/pen knife because I travel a lot and have to go into secure buildings sometimes. Weapons are kinda frowned on even though most of us are either military or retired military working for the military. When travelling I have a backpack that has work laptop, my tablet, GRM/CM mags, notebook binder, prescription medicines, chargers, peanut butter crackers, chewing gum and a toothbrush/paste & comb in case I get stuck someplace (happens once in a while, not often). In checked baggage in my shaving kit I have a small flashlight and boxcutter that I use for work on location. I issue/train new equipment to army aviation units and have to open boxes.

Actually, if you do a search for "multitool tsa" on Amazon, you'll get a bunch of results.

I give three or for knives a year to the TSA.

The one I've used when I fly since they came out with it is the Leatherman Style PS. It's nowhere near as capable as my usual multitool, but when paired with the Leatherman Piranha that I usually carry (and is also approved for flying) I don't lose much capability.
As for what I usually carry, it's pretty rare to find me without my iPhone (currently a 5S) and smartwatch (now Series-1 Apple Watch) and my pocket knife pouch on my belt. The pouch usually contains (this is modified when I fly):
Obviously the Cybertool and the firestarter get left behind when I fly and I take the Style PS instead.
Usually in my coat are my wallet, sunglasses, a Sharpie, keys (nothing particularly interesting there besides lots of keys and a Tile Bluetooth finder), and a pocket defense spray. One coat (my summer one) usually has a set of earplugs in it.
Oh, and several handkerchiefs, much to SWMBO's disapproval.
