Any one know what this thing is? My guess is a bearing of some sort or a check valve maybe. Its conical on one end and spherical on the other. Found it on my intake mani just sitting there.

I forget what they're called, but I think people used to put them inside the carb to increase mileage or something. Didn't work.
This thing barely gets double digits, short of overdrive and 273 gears you aren't going to get better MPG.
