I was mowing my back yard today and found this egg. I don't remember seeing it there yesterday, it was just sitting on the lawn near a recently cleared section of brush.
It measures a little over 4" long. I have hawks in the area, they are the only thing I could think of that would lay an egg this large.

Thought about it. I assume it couldn't hurt to put it in a box lined with straw with a lamp over it in my garage? That is about as in depth as I am going to get trying to incubate it. Worst case my garage burns down.

Worse case is it's a Velociraptor egg and you wipe out humanity by hatching it.

No, no. You should watch a hen for reference. You need to sit on the egg.

A friend of mine had a dinosaur egg on his shelf, and didn't know what it was until I identified it.
I have never seen any turkeys around here so at this point i have to assume it is a dinosaur. It is in the back room of the garage under a heat lamp so we will see what happens.
It was laying in the yard in a very obvious area, no nests I can see in the trees above it, no damage to the shell.
Geese are ground nesters. Got any Canada Geese around?
Do you really want a newly hatched Canada Goose, hungry, disoriented and just looking to imprint on something in your garage?
In reply to Brett_Murphy (Forum Patrón) :
That could be it looking at photos. I haven't seen any geese by my house but there are definitely some in this area. I hate geese.

definitely place it in the neighbor's yard so it's their problem
Not leathery enough to be a turtle or a snake, thus it's definitely dinosaur. 2020 hasn't been spicy enough, you need to hatch it and find out what happens.
