Guy at work had his heart set on a V8 trike and had these rails built. Like the 6 year old at a free buffet, his eyes were bigger than his stomach. He gave them to me.
Made of 3 X 6 inch channel iron, 1.5 inch diameter holes every 6 inches. 13 feet long, 12 inch lift at back, 4 inch up front.
Questions: With the lightening holes, would that jeopardize structural integrity enough that it would fold up.
Find a Model T suspension and weld it up, same question. Or is this better off as $4.28 of scrap metal?

From the guy who made a mid-engine Bus not exactly run... hmm.
Have to think about this one.
For the holes- it's a C beam, as long as the mid section is nominally there, the outside carries the load. but it would be a good idea to bell the holes a little (I just had the correct term in my head, and poof- it was gone).

You mean "Dimple" the holes?
The frame might be a bit too thick walled for that.
Is it just me or does that frame look a bit, uh...weak?
I'm immediately thinking "trailer," too bad you already have a nice one for your sailplane

Very much this.
Poor choice of chassis material, rusty and would require more work than starting from scratch to build something actually useful and not hindered by an existing design.

Swedge? I have no idea why that popped in my head.
