There is a mini series called Chernobyl that my son and I have been watching. It has been very interesting and surprisingly accurate.

Chernobyl was extremely well done. However, it's not all that accurate.

Series that I have watched a few times because they're awesome

  1. Battlestar Galactica (the 2004 reboot)
  2. Firefly
  3. Man in the High Castle
  4. Archer (guilty pleasure)
  5. The Expanse

None of those are specifically new, but I think they're all currently on streaming services.

Bosch on Amazon was really good, I'm just finishing up the last season 

I watch a lot of YouTube, there are interesting local documentaries from PBS stations around the country.  
 

I've also rewatched The Wire a couple times, and have been watching Law and Order from the beginning. 
 

For mindless background noise anything with Guy Fieri.
