Because I loved all of y'all. I disappeared and I'm sorry. Lots happened from a totaled Mazda. Then my leaving my ex. And now remarried. Now driving a 2019 cruze 1.4t.

I came across your GM 1.4L turbo thread and thought to myself, "I haven't seen that name in a long time."
Welcome back.
I am here. And Starz my whereabouts the last three years feel free to ask. Long story short though I ended up completely starting life over and so here I am. Poor than ever. Nowhere to work on cars. I hate Apartments because can't work on cars. And honestly could not give a damn life is better than it's ever been before
Welcome back! Working on cars while living in an apartment is difficult but not impossible. I once rebuilt a Ford 8.8" rear axle on the porch of my apartment. The hard part is parking the car in such a way that other don't notice it is taken apart and report you to the leasing office.
Welcome back. A life factory reset is good sometimes. Best done early before the data gets really corrupted.
Working on cars in an apartment sucks, when I was younger and trying to make that work I had the advantage of other local enthusiasts letting me use their shops/driveways/garages from time to time.
Condolences, and then Congrats! welcome back! Maybe there are some other GRMers in your area willing to loan short term driveway space...

Welcome back!
And I agree with apartment wrenching. I replaced the trunk floor of a Dodge Demon in an apartment parking lot. Cylinder heads and intake on a F100 as well as finished up a 6" lift kit on a F150. Of course, it does depend some on what kind of lot you have to work with.
Apartment wrenching is the worst. I gave up on apartment wrenching when, halfway through a brake job, I was told I needed to move the car RIGHT NOW or (a) get a $200 ticket, or (b) get towed. Not having $200, and not wanting to get towed which would have ended up costing more than $200, I moved the car halfway through the change which resulted in my blowing out the cylinders on the drums... And then I didn't have any place to work on it, and couldn't drive it since I effectively took out my brakes.
I ended up having AAA tow it to a local shop that was enthusiast owned; he was sympathetic and did the job cheap.
