Any suggestions would be appreciated. After months of trying we got tickets and planned the trip. We live about 4hrs away and planned to make a weekend of it. Long story short, a late metro and wrong stop info made us few minutes late and we missed the entry. We're on the list again for march, but does anyone have any insider info for getting in sooner?

When our son was in the third grade we got in line at the White House, didn't realize it was the wrong line until I got to the door. Pre 911, holding his hand we walked through a rotating door, you know the 8ft. tall glass X types that spin, got to the exit quadrant and a guy stopped the door with his foor at the bottom, right hand at his shoulder height and asked for our tickets. "Must have gotten in the wrong line".
Sir, please exit that way and head to the north wall. He didn't move, we had to fit between his arm and leg. as I passed through I noticed brass knuckles in the hand holding the door and his buddy 15 feet away had his right hand up in his left armpit.
I hear it's a good tour!
