93CivicDX recently graduated, perhaps he could put you in contact with someone at his old University?
We are mostly aerospace at my school but if you want to PM and talk about it I can put you in contact with someone at the school.
Unevolved and I are on the Texas A&M team. We've got a garage for the GRM Challenge team and a shop for the FSAE team. Three cars are under construction right now.
We don't have a separate automotive engineering group but Texas Engineering Experiment Station does have facilities for automotive testing by the mechanical engineering dep't.

I said I wanted some good contacts to discuss a potential engineering research project at a school with a defined program, not that I wanted to engineer some disgustingly good potential contact engineering projects at an after school program.
