I had my million dollar idea.

I need to talk with someone who has experience in adhesives, I need a tape style bonding agent that will be flexible, a bit stronger than a post it note but in the same vein.

Anyone have any info?

I think I know what I need using the 3M catalog but would like a second opinion.

I want to know who invented the boogery substance that is used to glue my junk mail to the fake credit cards I've been getting.

I always go with the assumption that that boogery goo acts as a good lubricant for my shredder.

Speaking of junk mail, does anyone else take all the crap in the envelope and stuff it all into their postage paid return envelope scrawl a quick message about stop sending you unwanted mail and mail it back to them?

Sorry for the hijack John. Consider it my part of keeping your million dollar idea safe.

I need a flexible tape adhesive that has a kraft paper bond on one side that can handle temperatures from 40 to a little over 250 (for a short time). Most applications will be room temperature but the formula must not react to oil, paint or similar agents.

FWIW, there is masking tape made for powder coating that might get you what you want. It is low tack, and uses a fiberglass mesh, so it is good for several hundred degrees.

Needs to be dual sided, I have to apply it to a piece, the end user will then pull the "safe tape" to apply the product. I am pretty sure I found what I need in the 3M catalog after one of our board members suggested a company that he uses (Thanks again Hoi)

One of these two invented post-it notes. Can't recall if it was Romy or Michelle or even which one is which.

I've done quite a bit of work with adhesives in the course of my 9-5 life as a product designer.

Also, I know some good people at Henkel-Loctite, Sika and 3M who can tell me what to tell you.

Shoot me an email at motomoron at yahoo dot com. If it's a million dollar idea and I help it'll cost you a good bottle of single malt.

I mix the mail into other post paid enevlops letting the people know about gret offers from other companies that they may want to take advantage of before this special limited offer runs out.

I know there is uncured silicone strips that will bond onto themselves but don't think they will bond to anything else. Plus you'd need to be very carefully about about adhesives because nothing will stick to silicone.

Maybe a better description of what you are trying to do is in order and good luck!
