Did you know there's a code under the scratch off that tells the dealer if the card is a true winner. A former co-worker who played scratch-offs more than he drank (and he drank A LOT) told me about it. Saved him time when playing a ton of cards. He could skip the cards that had no winners. Unfortunately I never paid attention since I rarely play.

Michigan tickets used to have a standard prize code for the low dollar winners but as I understand it the high value winners were somewhat cryptic. I thin they did away with the code a few years ago.
