I loved my PT. Had it for 5 years and was probably the best at being a car of any of the cars I've had. And I and a couple hundred thousnad people per year thought they were stylish and looked good (I love the shrunken '37 Ford style). Unlike the Aztek, which was projected to sell 50k units per year and only sold 40k units over the entire run, the PT was projected to sell 50k per year and sold 150k per year for nearly 10 years (and still ws selling over the projected rate at the 10 year mark) with zero advertising. That's a pretty strong statment that it was, in fact, NOT offensive. YOU might not like it, but as an assertion of fact, you are factually wrong. And I'm frankly getting a little tired of the arrogance that people like you show when stating your opinion as fact.

$5200! They want $5200! for this. Its got a bad headgasket (sorry but that's the assumption when the temp needle moves around a lot since a bad thermostat typically sticks closed, which leads to ruining the HG) and the CV joints are shot thanks to being lowered too much.
the shot of the douche bag driving along with his steering wheel in his hand is all I need to know.
Found in the VWvortex thread...but I would drive the E36 M3 out of this:
If women can mistake a Miata for a Porsche then that can sure as hell pass for a Veyron. This could make up for all my years of driving "beat up old crapcans."

You know I always see interesting things in Buffalo too. But really VW Vortex has this similar list? Do most contributors post their own vehicles? JK

That's as stoopid as the "No F&*#KS GIVEN" RX7. I would like to that video, but I don't want to give the looser any more hits.

At least you can 'fix' that with minimal work, it's not perma-ruined.

There's a difference between merely stating an opinion and making an assertionof fact. the Aztek was factually ugly, as evidenced by it being a sales failure. the PT was a sales success BECAUSE of it's style, thus it factually could not have been ugly.
Exhibit 1: Chinese Crested dog = High sales numbers Result: Ugly as sin
Exhibit 2: Chrysler PT Cruiser = High sales numbers Result: See results above
"Ugly as a 60 year old meth whore" and "Sold a lot" are not mutually exclusive.
Toss in the fact that a majority of PTs (at least near me) are owned by 70 something retirees who seem to have allocated a disproportionate percentage of their social security stipend to the purchases of generic chromed plastic stick-on bullcrap found in the Walmart "Automotive Performance" section, then proceed to drive said abominable chrome-onster 7 miles below the speed limit in the left lane, and fail to turn right on red at every opportunity, and youll find the genesis of my deep-seated hatred for the Purple Turd Cruiser

Someday, when I become a competent GRMer who can swap engines with my eyes closed, I will bring an LSx Aztek to the $20XX challenge......it is definitely the GRM answer to the Juke-R.
[I don't know who first recommended that swap, but they were SOOOOOO.....right]

Can we settle on this? The looks of the PT Cruiser are divisive. You either love it or hate it. The people that love it all bought one, and the people who hate it wonder to this day why anybody would have bought one.
Also: popular doesn't mean good. It can be good, but there are lots of things that are popular that are not good. Like Papa John's pizza.

It was actually an AWD Asstek with an LSX swap...
