i wouldn't hate those wheels if they would paint them up like the IROC wheels they are based on..
i don't mind big wheels on a car- up to a point- and only if the wheels are that big to clear monster brakes..
my only exception is 60's Lincoln 4 doors- the ones with the suicide rear doors- they look good with anything up to about a 24" wheel as long as the wheel isn't too outrageous looking...

I had to push one of these out of the car rider line at my kid's elementary school and then give it a jump to get it going today. It was spray bombed flat black. Why the hell does anyone paint a car flat black in Texas? I should have left it to die, but the young mother was cute.

I don't mind this look. Muscle cars cars are so big that they look weird with little 14's. But folks are used to seeing them a certain way so when they look different people get upset.

The looks of the PT Cruiser are divisive. You either love it or hate it. The people that love it all bought one, and the people who hate it wonder to this day why anybody would have bought one. Also: popular doesn't mean good. It *can* be good, but there are lots of things that are popular that are not good. Like Papa John's pizza.
I hate the way they look and I still bought one. It was a great car. very roomy, configurable cargo space, reliable, nice to drive, handled great.

I always thought they were a great idea. I remember when they weren't selling you could have bought a brand new Turbo model for around $11K in SE Mi, that was a screaming deal for a car with that many beans

Ditto, old cars with big wheels just look wrong. It's not necesearily the wheels, it's the rubber band tires, older cars need some side wall to look good. Some well designed periodish 16's or even 17's at a stretch, but 18+ no way.

Nope, still better without.

The final results are in: GRM readers can't agree on anything regarding PT Cruisers.
I'll propose this as an awful modification, even though it came from the factory:
Is that an onboard screen touchpad thing? If so, Ill agree. If not, I add it. Regardless of the distraction issues and additional cost, they ruin how the interior of a car looks for me.

What does it mean? I see them and have no clue.

As to the vehicle touch displays, I don't mind them as long as I can close them up or turn them off. For the most part, I agree that they are useless as one needs tactile input to use anything while moving, so either you glance and stab the screen and hope you aimed properly or you have your passenger do it for you because no one would consider pulling over to use it safely!
Because now every manufacturer has to put them on their cars. I personally think they look cheap on everything.

I call these things "Social Barometers". Just spotting them lets me know to not engage these people in conversation. Some other common stickers that give a good indicator are
Add also the "Tread Violently" windshield banners on giant lifted trucks, and any terrorist or illegal alien "hunting permits"
