Can you really taste the difference with the Throwback stuff?
Oh yeah. Hard to describe other than it's more... "smooth". When I drink a normal Dew.... it's kinda harsh. Throwback is a LOT tastier to me, sorta like.. i dinno... a decent lime popsicle vs. a crappy freezepop? Drink em side by side and you'll see what I mean.

I are for one-up to you...
I'll have to pick up some throwback Mountain Dew today, I never got to try it the first time around...

I can still get that, though. I can't get Surge.
I've trained myself to drink water mostly. My blood tests and blood pressure are perfect. Not sure how much effect that had. I do like the occasional Dew though. I actually tested the pH of pops in my lab once. Coke was like 3 or less. I can see how too much can mess up your stomach and blood. I also work with Phos acid, and believe me, you would stop drinking.

Have to agree, it is a lot smoother. I buy all I find, and just yesterday I came across a jackpot of eight 2L bottles and 2 cases of MD Throwback.

Score! One thing to watch out for, is that stuff has a short shelf life compared to non-throwback. But given the stash there, I assume you drink it with some frequency.
Actually, all this stuff is about the same age, since they stopped production in February. The expiration day (well, "sell by" day) is in November this year, but it will indeed all be gone by the end of the year if I can ration myself....if not then by the end of next week. I have a couple buddies that like the stuff too.
vault replaced surge if I recall correctly. Throw back Dew is tasty, don't know about the Pepsi, I'm a Coke guy when its cola time. Oddly, I like Dew when drinking by itself and Coke goes better with food. Odd huh? Why can't they put throwback in the fountain? I've got a 32oz a morning habit here...

when I was kid.. I spilled coke atop the fridge.. it ate the paint in no time at all. Stuff is VERY caustic and can probably be used to clean parts
I did use some pepsi today to clean the corrosion off my battery terminals. I can't drink any colas, they do funny things to my stomach.
I remember when the soft drink was called "White Lightening". It has more "sugar" than any other drink, and the only one with more caffine i... (would you believe it ?)
Diet Dr. Pepper.
Sing to Dr .Pepper tune .. (no, really.)
I've got gonereaha and I'm proud..
I'm part of infectuous croud..
And if you screw around you'll see..
Most everybody's got V.D.!
I'm a clapper, she's a clapper, we're all clappers..
Wouldn't you like to be a clapper too?
If you drink Dr.Pepper you're a clapper too.
Be a clapper, drink Dr. pepper..etc.

I was once told the strongest "parts cleaner" is exspired coke syrup.
Coke cleans battery terminals like a sumamabetch. It will also clean corroded valves in brass musical instruments effectively too.
And Rick James loved it!
In reply to mndsm:
MD is my favorite soft drink. Screw you.

HFCS must die....
HFCS in and of itself isn't that horrible. It's the fact that in the U.S. we have corn in EVERYTHING, so anyplace you can eliminate corn consumption is a good thing (TM Martha Stewart). Excess consumption of a single thing can lead to the development of an allergy, and I don't even want to think about how difficult life would be trying to shop for someone allergic to corn.
The Throwback MD and Pepsi is definitely tastier than it's corn-syrup'd cousins, though I actually prefer HFCS Coke to the Mexican Coke with real sugar.
Just bought 2 12 packs of pepsi throwback and 3 of MD throwback. Only $12. I may go back for more.
I'm shying away from the 2 liters because once I open one I have to drink it.
I've found MD throwback in one store, and Pepsi throwback in another store....of the same chain. Like others here, I'm trying to get away from soda drinking in large quantities so haven't bought any of either soda....YET. But my darn curiousity is getting the better of me. I also "found" TAB and Fresca at one of these stores, I thought both of those were long gone. Anyone see Mr. Pibb for sale in stores? And yes, I know it tastes almost exactly like Dr. Pepper.

Mr. Pibb is HUGE here. It's better than Dr. Pepper, too.
I can get TAB all day long. Both kinds, actually... cola and the energy drink. Fresca is still alive and well also, but still disgusting.
Took you this long to realize soda is terrible?

Just got a case of the throwback MD, in the fridge right now. We'll see how it tastes.
Just as I was talking about how I stick with water now, I now have a 12-pack of Pepsi and Dew in the fridge. Thanks alot guys. Seeing the Pepsi cans reminds me of the good 'ol days of the 80's, when I had nothing to do but play. Now if car companies would make "throw back" cars, we'd be set.

Yup. We'd be in 'Striya...isn't that where the throwback cars come from?

Take your satan filled taste buds back to Canada or whatever communist country you were born in.
Mexican Coke is gods gift to 'Muricans. It's the only reason I let any of them over the border!
