I'll be the first to add:
Not only is it wood, it uses Citroen 2CV suspension components.
That's at minimum a 3x strangeness multiplier.
Uses and Ariel Square Four motor, of all things.
A friend of mine bought this at the Vegas auction and brought it to town here, where he found someone more gullible than he ( St. Louis Car Museum ) to buy it. And then it found its way to the internet.
Evidently it's made from plans available for purchase in the back of Popular Mechanics in the '50s or '60s. Only one or two guys ever finished, I guess.
It's, um...interesting in person. It would take a certain kind of weirdo to drive it, for sure.
I had thoughts of swapping in a big bore, air cooled Kawsaki inline four, to keep it sorta simple while improving the motivational powers.
So, yeah. I'm that kind of weirdo, too.
