Million to one shot, but I'm at a dead end.  Nothing on the Cadillac boards, I found bearings but no clips.  I saw a similar one for $5, BUT $94 shipping?  I am almost ready to pay but it's only similar.  Tis is the only thing keeping the engine out of the car.

1941 Cadillac 346 engine with a manual transmission.  I believe it's on all up to 1952.

Is this the similar one you found?

Trying checkout shipping was $35 for UPS Ground. Still high but better than $90

Looks like you could make your own out of these.

Stampie, Stampie, Stampie, why the heck didn't I think of that?   69 cents and a little bend and wiggle later, Viola', CLIP.

Easy to tell the factory from the Hammer Mechanic clip, but I'll bet it works better than safety wire I was thinking about.  Thank you Stampie, want a box of donuts or something?

All others, thank you for your time and wisdom.
