I want to bleed the brakes on my Europa before I put the chassis on so I can easily check for leaks. I am looking for a reasonably
priced, performance brake fluid that is compatible with other fluids (even though everything in my brake system is new). Not sure
if the car will ever see track time but I have always wanted to try autocross...would Motul DOT 5.1 be appropriate?

I run Motul in everything that sees track use.
Make sure you don't have a compatibility issue with whatever was in the system previously.
This is like asking which oil is best, I'm sure you'll get a dozen different opinions, but here's mine to start. I'm a fan of ATE Typ 200, going back to the Super Blue days (RIP). We ran it hard in a Lemons car with undersized brakes and it held up perfectly. Reasonably priced, widely available, and I like the metal can.
The Motul DOT 5.1 looks like a good quality fluid too, I'm sure you wouldn't go wrong with that either.
I wouldn't bother with 5.1 for a street/autox car. Get a good DOT 4 - Redline, Wilwood, Motul and keep it fresh.
Heck, you could probably use NAPA DOT 4 without any concerns given your use. That's what I'd use for initial leak testing because it's good enough, easy to source and inexpensive.
I've been running Valvoline Synthetic for years. Reasonably priced and generally can get it at any parts store.
I have run ATE Type 200 in all my street cars and the race car for many years. Relatively cheap and never has failed to do it's job
I run the module 600 or 660 in my racecars and don't have any issues. Cheap enough, but you probably need to order it.

Same here. I figure as long as it's pretty fresh, it's good enough for my needs. But I'm not pushing 100% on track, either.
