Looking for ideas on what to do with this space. On the left wall runs a lot of mechanical lines under OSB sheathing that's been drywalled, I'm not confident in my ability to find a stud. On the center is 2x6 studs, and on the right is a beam supporting a bedroom.

the height is 16', I'm thinking wall mounted DIY elevator platform with an electric hoist, but that would necessitate keeping the floor clear underneath. Wall mounted shelving, but that's a bit of a PITA to lift objects up that height.

I would love to be able to put a dirt bike up there in the winter, which is about 275lbs. But unsure of how to do it safely. Just a spitballing thread for some ideas.

I'll send you a pic of my kid's CRF70 pully setup as soon as I can today.

I'd build a loft/storage area. Very easy to span that gap with 2x8 or 2x10 depending how wide it is in the photo. Nice layer of 3/4 tongue and groove plywood and wah laa storage area.

Sorry for the ridiculously late reply. I used 2 floating pulleys and one stationary. I originally had nylon rope that I'd hoist by hand. Not the best solution. A $20 boat winch from Scamazon, and here we are. I do need to put some swivels at the bike attachment. If you look close, both are twisted. Hope this helps.
