When you're upside down, your triggers act as your wing elevator controls. Just looking out for yas.
depends on the track. nurburgring, for instance, has huuge rumble strips in places that can do some damage.
most of them you can just blast over with little consequence.
Just found out there's a pretty good handicap system in place for online racing in user created rooms. You can have up to for 'places' for handicaps, and one of the defined categories is a person's rank on the game. You can take away car performance in a % form.
Javelin wrote: If nothing official pops up, try out the B500 Javelin I posted. Let me know if it's too squirrely or any feedback.
My only feedback is you keep building up those Javelins(and any other cars) and I'll keep driving the bejeezus out of them! Excellent work sir.
I'm Deluxe btw. Though I should add that my gamertag reads as Deluxe (tho it's actually Deiuxe as I used a capital i instead of lower case L)
Rock on! Glad somebody else liked what I did! I'll try and get some B500 builds together for the other cars soon.
Why do all the good games come out at once? NHL12, Forza 4 and now Modern Warfare 3? Don't they know that some of has have, y'know, jobs?
In reply to LainfordExpress:
Yeah, I may be taking a break from Forza for a bit. With MW3 out today and Assassin's Creed out next week.

Because Christmas, That's why.
I already have assassin's creed on my xmas list. I have to wait. That's ok by me as it gives me time to play black ops, bf2, Forza4, and Bioshock(yes I finally got around to playing it.)
Hey give us slow adopters a chance! I played last night like crazy, but I'm not online yet. I worked on the Firebird SD455 Trans Am B500 build. It's up to a 487 or so but drives different than the Javelin, I'm trying to equalize everything.
I think a lot of the regular Forza players are like me and have a kinda random/odd schedule. I'll have more time to play in the next couple of weeks as the gf is out of town. Feel free to shoot me an invite!

Finally had a chance to try out the car soccer mode, thanks to an invite from LAGUNAROADSTER (ZOOMX5 on this board). It was mostly 3 on 3, in A class cars (I went with the Holden, for its ability to get the tail around quickly, and it looked like it had a nice bulbous rear end for whacking the ball). Each team had a Hummer on the squad as well, which was a fun dimension to the game.
At one point, I got bashed into (no harm, there were quite a few "fouls" by all parties :D) so hard, my car was wedged INTO the pavement... it looked like it landed there out of the sky and was melting into the ground... Someone was like "Cadbury is stuck - ram him!", which sounded hilarious because they were actually trying to help.
It was a total riot, despite my continued issues with the voice audio across players. I could hear Lagunaroadster, and he could hear me sometimes, and I could never hear any of the other players (and they couldn't hear me). Tried a couple settings, but no dice. That's why I sometimes hesitate to play with others online - don't want to offend them and have them think I just don't want to talk :p

Well in that case next time I'm on I'll send you an invite and proceed to have one sided conversations.
So, I signed-in today and somehow, I now have 999,999,999 cr. Um, what? Why do I have the sneaking suspicion that I will be banned?
On a side note, am i the only one who's going to put on all the decals that came with the collector's edition once summer hits? (I have a guilty pleasure for decals.)
I wanted the collectors edition and was then emailed my pre-order was cancelled because of too much demand.
I was going to throw a sticker on my car too. right next to my new vanity plate "4ZA ADCT". im such a dork, but thats why im here..
In reply to EdenPrime:
They have those fake vinyl clear plastic decals. Not a fan. I have my grassroots, condor, gearhead shirts, and all others are custom vinyl stickers.
racerfink wrote: If you know how much you had before, just stay within that, and you'll be fine.
That's the problem, I don't remember exactly what I had, haha. I rarely paid attention because I don't use it often with all the affinities. Oh well. I have just been hot lapping.
In reply to N Sperlo:
Oh, i haven't taken them out of the book yet. I just figured they were normal vinyl decals. That's a bummer.
Here's the B500 Trans Am builds to try out:
1971 AMC Javelin: Full Race everything in the Suspension category (brakes, springs/dampers, F&R swaybar, chassis & cage, weight reduction) and the Clutch, Flywheel, and Driveshaft. Forza front bumper, Sport Transmission, your choice of 1.5 or 2.0 rear diff, Street Exhaust, Race Cam, and stock compound tires on 245 front / 265 rears. With Torque-Thrusts or Compomotive ML's it will be exactly B500.
1969 Chavy Camaro Z/28: Full Race everything in the Suspension category (brakes, springs/dampers, F&R swaybar, chassis & cage, weight reduction) and the Clutch, Flywheel, and Driveshaft. Forza Front bumper, Sport Transmission, your choice of 1.5 or 2.0 rear diff, Race Exhaust, Race Cam, Race Ignition, and stock compound tires on 245 front / 265 rears. With Torque-Thrusts or Compomotive ML's it will be exactly B500.
1973 Pontiac Firebird SD455: Full Race everything in the Suspension category (brakes, springs/dampers, F&R swaybar, chassis & cage, weight reduction) and the Clutch, Flywheel, and Driveshaft. Forza front bumper, Sport Transmission, your choice of 1.5 or 2.0 rear diff, Race Exhaust, Race Cam, Street Ignition, and stock compound tires on 245 front / 265 rears. With Torque-Thrusts or Compomotive ML's it will be exactly B500.
These 3 are extremely close in stats and driving. I'm working on a 69 Trans Am and a 70 Camaro Z/28 now. Still have to build up credits to buy the Dodge Challenger and get on Live to get my Boss 429. I'm also working on Plymouth to get the Barracuda S and the Hemi Cuda into it.
I've built a B500 Javelin pretty close to what you just spec'd out, and even on the bias-ply tires, I have to say I kinda like it. When I finally beat Assassin's Creed, I think I may have to play around with the Camaro a bit.
A friend of mine is putting together a Spec Miata series, and he would like to have as full a field as possible. It would be the forum board that he and I hang out on, anybody from this one that would like to run, and a few from Mazdaracers.com as well. 16 SM's on actual tracks should be fun. It'll be very similar specs to what we used in Forza 3. As soon as he starts putting together a schedule, I'll post it here.
You'll need to log in to post.
