I moved the slowest cars to the archive folder. I also put Palmer Motorsports Park in there if anyone wants to play with it.

ProDarwin said:We messed around last night and ended up playing with the Mercedes Evo, E30 M3, and Alfa 155 race cars. These are good and very evenly matched.
The Miura was also good fun. I think I could come up with a group of that vintage that would also be a good group to put together. A vintage RSR 911 and maybe a Ferrari 308 are what I would test. A more street oriented E30 could be a possible option.
Here we go. We should test this combo.

Some good racing last night, I will have to see if I can get some highlights. I found it interesting we started out testing super low HP cars that where pretty easy to drive, and ended up with a version with 4 times the HP and a corresponding rise in difficulty to drive.
For next week, there are 18 possible cars! Watkins Glen is show 43 pit spots though, so theoretically, you could put two of each in, although 1 of each should be fine also. I suspect the higher HP cars will be better here. The smaller cars are very similar to what we have been looking at (Imp, Mini, MGB GT, Cortina etc). I suspect we could easily spend a few weeks with these cars (with maybe a track change).
BTW Dean, the do have this car, the name I believe translates to "Red Pig" (sorry, does not come in orange):
I think my son accidentally killed it. I just showed him how to restart it should this be an issue in the future.
First post is updated with track and cars. We can always swap in and out cars to find a competitive group. I suspect there may be a small bore and large bore subgroup in each of the packs.
Here is a screen cap of one of the Bugeye races. Some pretty ham fisted camera changes. It's a bit difficult to keep track of which car you are watching. A good replay would require some sort of script to know when to change. The Video app I have would likely be the best way to go. I would need to figure it out of course. I was going to trim the lower part, but it's fine for now. I did a few in-car and following shots later in the race.
I did some filter mods of the one pic. I think they look pretty damn nice. I am tempted to get a print of one of these. They are actually high enough resolution to do a good sized print (say 20" wide). If anyone want a full size file, or has a request to convert a pic, let me know.
Just jumped on the server to try a few laps and I notice that the sun glare is quite bad. I noticed this at Bridgehampton as well. I have the shader patch (with the ridiculous blinding rays setting turned off) - not sure if this is an issue. What I'm wondering is if there's a reason why the server seems to be set for a time of day that results in such harsh light? It makes it difficult to see things like track markings and braking distance signs.
It seems like the server runs a normal time until it hits night time, the it run in perpetual twilight since there is no night driving in base AC. Maybe we can set the server not to advance time?
What happens if you vote to advance to the next session? Will that run a race? I think it might reset the times on the standings, but I am not sure that is a huge issue.
Regarding the glare, there was a post on that a few pages back. It's a setting I the Shader Patch you can remove. Please ignore Darwin's obvious inclusion of his frame rate (which is clearly intended to make the rest of use look bad )
(Settings - Assetto Corsa - Video):
I have the sunrays turned off, but it's still very hard, high-angle light. I know nothing about advancing sessions or any server interaction beyond showing up and driving. Which reminds me, how do you change the paint scheme on your car when playing online?
Unfortunately paint schemes are assigned by the server. They can be assigned in the server by driver, but not by the driver.
There should be a roundish button near the bottom of the menu in the pits where you see the results and messages. Something like "skip to next round". Should prompt you to vote on it. Not sure how it works if there is only one person in, but give it a try.
Testing tonight and I updated the server with 18 cars total from both TC packs. These are very intresting cars to run Lots of fum!!!!
That was only the first page of times there were a coupe other cats I tested.
The 3 4 5 6 place cars would make an interesting series.
The 911 to me is just fantastic. It definitly requires a different driving style and it seems to be if it from more mid range torque than the other cars. Others should try it and see if it is as fast for them.

Cool, we should be able to get some good pics then.
There are certainly tracks that look a lot better than others. Bridgehampton certainly look great. The grass and sand are well done (some tracks it's pretty basic). Being able to see the ocean in the background is certainly very cool.
