Now that is funny!!!
Does anyone have any idea what car they will run? I put the most time in the RX3, but I am up for anything.
With my limited experience with AC, I decided it was best to concentrate on one car to practice with. I tried several and settled on the Mini. I know it's not really competitive, but I've gotten to a point where I can be mostly consistent with it, so I'm sticking with it.
On a related note, I like the multi-week format of a week of practice and experimentation, followed by the actual race the second week. Much easier for a new driver like me to get settled in with a track/car combination. I'd be all for the idea of doing a series of races with the same set of cars.
I am leaning twards the Austin Healy but the Merc is a hoot to drive. I am testing tonight for fuel usage and setting up a couple cars with pits stops already saved so I can jump from one to another if needed. The Mustang is a safe / fast choice for some one.
There will not be a need for me to mandate pitstops as the cars we have I dont think there is one that can make it on fuel. There for you can not be disqualified for not pitting.
I may run the merc. Not sure what to do about pit stops now as the merc looks to be able to run 13.2 laps on a tank.
I think we will need to have a gentlemans agreement that you have to pit once. I am not going to mandate it as I don't want anyone to get disqualified but I have managed to dial the merc in and it is a very fast car as well as having a huge fuel tank.
The A110 is also at 13.9 Laps per tank but it is slow. There is a 43 in it but it would;d be a crazy perfect lap
If fuel is at 250%, no agreement is necessary... the cars that can make it are slow. Did something change?
I think dean is saying that the Merc can go just over 13 laps with the fuel set at 250%. Perhaps the easiest thing to do is just bump it to 300%. That should bring the Merc under 12 and keep everything else pretty close to where it was.

Hmmm. A bunch of the other cars were just over 6 laps on a full tank though. At 300% they may fall under and need to pit twice.
Ah, I didn't realize that. That would be problematic. Best then to just have the Merc drivers agree to pit.
I tried adding weight to the merc in the server settings last night and it lowered the fuel usage a little but lap times were with in the margin of error. I may see if I can add weight to it in the setup and see how that works.
You know something we did to think of and that is tire ware. What usually happens is that the heavy fast cars use up the tires much faster so even if they carry enough fuel the tires go away necessitating a pit stop. I think I should look at that as a possibly equalizer.
Or we just eliminate the Merc like the 911. I would not be happy about this as I did a lot of testing with it last night but it may be the real answer.

Ya the Merc and I came to an understanding. I can run 38's in the Merc (I may have run a 37) and not have to stop. That I think makes its only competitor the 911 and we have eliminated that car
If the Merc goes away then I will look at the Austin Healy or the Mustang If air is going to run the Mazda. ProDarwin I assume you will run the 510? or BMW? Mustang is faster than the Healy for sure but the Healy is a fun car to drive. I wish the Jag was more competitive. It is slower than the A110 and will need to pit.
On the tire wear question, can that be ramped up similarly to fuel consumption? If tire wear and fuel were both at 250%, the question of some cars needing to change tires might be very real.

Yeah if you are down in the '38s there wont be enough speed in any of the others to make up for a pit.
I need to look at consumption again. Did the 510 make 6 laps on a tank at 250%? I need to investigate. Otherwise maybe the Alfa or BMW.
