Ok, now that my ACC league is finished I'm looking to jump in with you guys more regularly.  Is it pretty much just Wednesdays or are things going on other nights of the week as well?

Wednesdays are the only regular night.  I am down for others.  Monday and Tuesday work better for me.

The C5 might outclass the cars that are in the server now, but would probably be great for a GT tribute 90's car collection.   There is a 1990 C4 Z06 in there that might be a bit less dominant.

We do need to try Road Atlanta at some point.  Although, the drive around someone posted in my dangerous tracks thread made it look like it would take a few laps to get used to it (a LOT of blind corners).

I have a race we can try, maybe week after next... no hints... until the very last moment, I want it to be a surprise.

(edit):  OK, I just tried Road Atlanta, not bad.  Well done track.  The video I saw must have been the original layout, this was is not as tricky.  We have not run there yet right? (It looks like I already had it installed).

So many cars, so many tracks.  If anyone has anything they want to try, shout it out.  I for one, am up for pretty much anything.

We've run Road Atlanta before.

The Mustang that is on the server at the moment is kind of fun.  I also put the yellow bird up there and it is also fun in it really wants to swap ends kind of way. 

Dean can you take the Escort off the server?  I haven't had a chance to diagnose my issue with loading that particular car but I'm still crashing every time I try to join when it gets to the Escort.  thx!

Some things:

-Looks like the server is down (Tues morning)

-Are you SURE we have run Road Atlanta already?  The start is rather similar to Watkins Glen.  I don't have any pics from RA and I don't remember the track at all.

-I tried Inje Speedway (South Korea) a bit (side by side, up in the drive now).  It's a pretty interesting track with a lot of elevation changes (not good for low powered cars).

-Dean, when you get a chance, download the Palmer Motorsports park track again (I put it back on the drive) and try and get it to work on the server when you get a chance.

- I have two possible tracks for my "special" race... so hard to pick... we may have to try both.

- If anyone wants anything downloaded from Assettoland, just let me know (I can put it up on the drive).  I just realized there is a download limit from the storage option they use (makes you wait if you use it too much).  I have a VPN, so it does not know I am the same IP.

We ran something else afterward... maybe the VW bettle thing, before we moved to another track.  The T2-5 section is very memorable.

I will stop by my house later and look at the server and re start it if needed.

There was an update for content manager that has made thigns a bit weird on my end.  I could not find the GRM server directly but then I looked at previous servers and it was then listed.

Make sure that you download the content from the Google Drive. 

Wednesdays for now but there have been comments about moving it. I am very open to what ever.  I am on at times over the weekend.  Discord is good as many people have it on there phone so if you PM people they tend to see it much better than the old PS PM thing.   

Tomorrow is going to be interesting.  I am traveling to CT for the day so I will be back in time BUT I am going to be cooked. 

Air I may at some point want to set up a remote desktop connection to the server that you could use to admin the server machien if I am not around.  

Re started the server with road Atlanta took the 944 out of the mix.  I tried palmer a couple times on the server and it is a no go for me.  IT causes my game to crash.  There may be a conflict with the Bridgehampton track as I saw something from that loading when I try and join the server.

Anyway if the road Atlanta track is not from the base game it should be put up for people to get.  Most should have it as we did run it a long time ago.

Great fun tonight!!  I think we had the biggest group to date!!!

Next week be very afrade. Air is going to be creative and that means something "interesting". ;-)

I quickly put together a performance luxo barge class. Between what is in the base name and what I got off Assetto land there are 10-15 cars to test. It could make for a interesting side couple races. I will put up a folder for the class and put the cars in there later in the week so people can pull them down. 

I had a couple minutes before a meeting so I tried out the Chevelle on Road Atlanta.  I don't think I've ever tried to drive something that could out accelerate its brakes by that much.  If takes 200 yards to get to 100mph, it seems like it takes at least 500 to go from 100 down to 30!

I left the Merc and Chevelle up on the drive in case anyone needs and want to try the server.  You do really need to try the Chevelle, it is quite entertaining.  I will try and take an initial look at the replays today / tonight.  Should be some interesting stuff... for the first half lap at least....

...then I need to see if I can create some "interesting" liveries....

BTW the Miata was good fun!!!! We should run that some more at various tracks in the future.

What other cars did people like.  The mustang was more enjoyable that I thought it was going to be.  The E30 was much harder than I thought it should have been.

I played around some more with the luxo barges.  I think these could be an interesting race if we were able to run longer/tighter.  The Mercedes seems to put down fast times but punish the tires.  I was able to get some comparable times in the Porsche but after a few laps it started to go overpressure on the left front.

We could make a 'custom' version of the 3 cars and put them on semislicks and it might equalize things a bit more.  I think tires are a big factor on the italian barge.

And yes, more spec miata please.  Those are fun.

I didn't get to stay on for long, but I liked the spec Miatas (unsurprisingly). I only tried one or two other cars, and like Dean I also found the E30 M3 to be harder to drive than I expected. FWIW, there's an E30 325i that feels a lot more like what I remember of that chassis - I've got it on the "Everyman's" list.

Haven't had a chance to look at the luxobarges. Are they on the drive?

Most are base cars.  The only two that aren't should be in the current folder.

I pulled down 10-15 other luxo barges from accetto land.  I have to go through them and see what is what.  I could make a folder and dump them there for people to play with.  I don't want to clutter up the main directory Air has set up.

I changed your folder to Personal Cars (and put others personal test cars in there) and put another folder up there for Test Cars.

When you put them on the server, just move them into the main folder.

I thought it might be interesting to have Sauce tune the M3 so that it handles more appropriately (some of these game cars tend to be "safety tuned").

BTW - making good progress on the "surprise" race for next week.  I have a number of options available in case the main show does not come up to expectations.

I tried a little tuning the other night, the range of adjustment on the alignment left a lot to be desired.  Generally those cars want as much front camber as you can give it (3.5* or so) and about 1* less in the rear, that car maxes out at 1.4* front and has a minimum of like 3.4* in the rear with a starting point of 3.8*.  I haven't played with the other settings yet so it may be fixable, but I'm not holding my breath.
