Assetto Corsa on PC

I uploaded a Brad Tune version of the MINI on the drive.  I adjusted the power curve based on the above chart.  I had to guesstimate the lower end (based on the original curve), so let me know if that is OK.  I took the peak torque in the game and used it for the peak torque in the chart.  I also dropped the overall power by 10%, since it was clearly overpowered.  Let me know if that is close.

I added cockpit adjustable brake bias to make that a bit easier to tune in.

I am not sure how to convert the gear chart above.  What we need is a more traditional definition of gear ratios.  Each gear with a ratio, when multiplied by the final results in the wheel ratio.

The sad news (good news for Brad) is that this car has one of the livery setups that I have not figured out how to edit.  I can get the map, but I have no idea how to apply it.

Here is the new power curve, which looks a bit better.

Air did you rename it so it does not overwrite the original?

It's a folder and a sub-car of the original, so it's an add on that requires the original.

I'll give it a try as well. I did some more testing last night. The street tires feel more correct than the semi-slick tires.

I also ponied up for the VRC version of the Alabama raceway. It's much better. Curbs are more accurate, it's prettier all around. Let me know if you want to borrow it.

I have 2 tracks that I need to figure out.  Hallett and Heartland.  They both are rFactor tracks, not AC.  I know it fairly easy to convert them. I scanned the instructions to do the conversion, but fairly easy is for someone familiar with making tracks. Anyone looked at this before?

Track making is something I have wanted to get in to but the whole server thing has kept me busy to the point that I have not had the time to look at that.  Car modding is also something I wanted to do but Air and Pro seem to have taken that on so I have not pursued that either. 

Air,  I don't see it in the Google Assets Folder what is it called?

Brad,  If you accidently zip the folder with that track up and then accidently put it in the shared assets folder let me know.  I can then see if I can accidently load it up on the server. 

Testing the Corvette at Goodwood this morning.

So laps 1,2,4,5,7, & 10 were all off track adventures.  I will need much more consistancy if I am to have a chance this comming wednesday.

Tire ware on the Corvette is a real thing at this track.  After 5-6 laps the tires are starting to ware and there is definitely a drop off in grip.

Air will have to give you permission for you as he is the owner of the share on google.  I have a MsOne drive that I can share that I set up as a backup. I am on my phone at the moment I will have to get on the pc to get the link.

That test was successful.  You'll find a new folder with the base track and the graphics update.

Look much better than the previous one!  Does it have the bump?

Feels about the same.

Air where is the car file?  Is it on the shared directory?  I did not see it yesterday. 

Hmmm, I think I deleted it thinking I was going to update it further.  It's up there now as the "Brad Tune"

Not sure I will race TDT tomorrow. I will most likely be on line and either practice at Goodwood or try loading up the Modded Mini and the new Barber track on the server to see how that works.

Sauce and I were messing around last night.  Got a lot of the cars into the 22s, including the Corvette.  Of course I didn't have a 75kg penalty.

I ran your setup for a bit on the Vette and I do like it much more than the stock one (which I ran for a while by accident).  Its a fun car.  Probably has 21s in it, but it is a handful on this track.  Passing it is going to be a difficult task.

I thought I replied, but it was apparently too early and I forgot to click the "Post" button.

The "Brad Tune" on street tires is pretty damn close to what the car feels like in real life.  Weight transfer isn't quite right, but it is close enough that I'm not worried about it.  Thanks for updating it Air.

Some great racing last night.  Also tried the Nrad mini and the new track on the server and there may be an issue with the track. I will try the other one with the Brad tune to make sure.  

Air you should have some excellent replays to make Video from. I am going to look at the OBS stuff and see if there is any thing film worthy.
