I am looking for some high quality motorcycle mags. Both broad and narrow scope, paper and online. What do you guys read?
Cafe racer, Motorcyclist, Cycle World, and Motorcycle Classics for me. I'll look at Streetfighter magazine in the bookstore, but there's (not too appealing) titties and low brow, home made, feel to it for me to actually by an issue.
Cycle World (worth it just for Peter Egan and Kevin Cameron) and Motorcycle Classics. Once in a while I'll pick up one of the UK classic motorcycle magazines if they have an article about a model that I own.
Thanks guys. I went and perused the local B&N for stuff and found a copy of Cafe Racer and another one called ADV Moto that looks really interesting that I brought home.
I used to get Rider but it's not really that engaging.
The forums at ADVRider.com are more useful than any magazine I've found, that and model specific sites/forums.
I like RoadRunner, but it's probably only of interest if you're into touring.
I used to read Motor Cyclist, but they could easily change their name to "Sportbikes are the only good Bikes Monthly". Nothing against sportbikes, but they claim to be a broad-interest publication, but all of their articles are about sportbikes and racing and their editors are all slanted WAY over to the sportbike scene.
I keep my Cycle World subscription, but only read the front half of each issue. I don't care about all of the racing coverage, mostly because they never cover any racing other than sportbikes.
I still get Motorcycle Cruiser because it is light on Harleys and no sportbikes, closer to my interests. It's pretty small, but OK.
Metric Cruiser used to be my fav, but then they decided to go with a broader scope and lost my interest. They are known as Road Bike now, I may have to check it out and see if they have anything decent going on.
