I saw this yesterday and thought of you guys.
It was sitting in front of the local Harbor Freight. Beautiful machine, but sure does look heavy.

Triumph Rocket III Touring.
I prefer the "roadster" myself, but either one would kill me very quickly.
I wish I had been able to stay around until he came out of the store. I bet is sounds awesome. But knowing how I am in a HF, it could have been hours.
I love everything Triumph makes right now. I was talking to a Rocket III owner last summer and he told me the pistons they used are the same ones that Chrysler uses in the Viper. If it's true, it's pretty cool.

"The riders come off independent production lines from around the world."
Awesome.
Funny how a modern Harley or a Goldwing doesn't do anything for me, yet I dig the Rocket.
Is it a bit like the modern equivalent of the Hurricane, in a bid to appeal to the US market? You know, only...successfully.
I rode a Triumph Thunderbird in Germany last week. 1700cc and enough torque to pull out in 6 gear with ease. And the Rocket makes the Thunderbird feel weak!
