Timbersled !!

This is a kit that bolts a ski and a track to your dirt bike. Pretty cool.

I've seen them, and others like it, at the various snowmobile and outdoor shows. The videos look really neat.

That said, I've never seen one in the wild, and have never spoken to anyone that has actually ridden on one.

Jibbers Crabst! At that price I can have a snowmobile AND a dirt bike, both of which will be better than that thing. No thanks.

So it's a DIY SnowHawk that isn't as good as a SnowHawk, (which isn't as good as a regular snowmobile), and isn't really cheaper?

Edit: I'll see if I can link the video in later on, my brother sent me a very funny video of some Alaskan guys doing a head to head to head comparison with a SnowHawk, midsized snowmobile and a Yamaha BW350 with studded tires. Everyone hated the SnowHawk, and there were lots of comments about shoulder and back injuries from picking the thing up off the ground over and over again.

I would agree that the concept is pretty cool. Redbull got a couple of riders together and made a cool video with Timbersleds.
