Today is D-Day (6 June). I spend the day doing yardwork with my WW II vet F-I-L.
Because of the date, I'll post a photo below of the Royal Marines at (I think) Normandy. Note that two of them are carrying what looks like a mini-bike.
It's actually a Welbike, built by Excelsior.
The Welbike was supposed to be a British combat bike. It's wasn't that successful (later the Brits used Enfields....and the Americans used Harleys). Might be interesting to build a Welbike replica though. Doesn't look too complex.
