My annual SWPA party and get together

Getting to be closer to that time of year, so I'm doing my annual post to invite everybody, whether you're a local, passing through to Pitt Race or elsewhere, or just feel like making a road trip.

Saturday June the 1, at my house in Smithton, PA. 3PM till everybody leaves. Rain or shine.

It is the demon spawns 9th birthday party. The theme this year is WWE and Barbie. I'm encouraging everybody, kids and adults, to dress up as your favorite wrestler or Barbie, current or old school. Yes it's a birthday party, no presents are not required, she has more than enough stuff already. 

There will be kids from ages 2 to 17, so feel free to bring your own. We have parking for 17 well packed vehicles and shuttle ability from a nearby truck stop, so no chance of running out of room there 

The menu this year is pulled pork and a bunch of ways to eat it. I'm smoking 4 butts and whatever else finds it's way in. There will be buns, nacho chips, tortillas, and toppings galore. Also a nacho cheese fountain.i might even fire up the Blackstone for pulled pork smash burgers.

BYOB and don't be a dick. If you get drunk and stupid you will be forced to leave, it's a kids party after all.

Harleighs party menu has been finalized... ~40lbs of pulled pork, a dozen ish smashers, red slaw, Holly's slaw, Italian pasta salad, ranch pasta salad, smoked Mac n cheese, nacho cheese fountain, buns, big and small tortillas, tortilla chips, salsa, homemade BBQ sauce, homemade BBQ cream sauce, pickled red onions, store bought sauce, diced and sliced onions, jalapenos fresh and pickled. If there is a way to eat pork we don't have, feel free to bring it. Oh and a cake of some kind.

Seriously, anybody in the area is free to come by, bring the kids, bring the wife, bring an appetite. 

There's will also be a Sting, Hulk Hogan, Sgt Slaughter, and a rough neon GLOW Barbie mashup in attendance for sure.

I got super lucky in the wife department, she puts up with as lot and is (seems) happy to do it. It confused her the first couple years when people I didn't recognize showed up, but she's accepted that my one or two big parties a year are basically open to the public.
